Mark Hamill to play warrior-monk in TV drama series

Mark Hamill is set to star as warrior-monk knight in second season of History's medieval drama series "Knightfall". "Knightfall" follows the famed Knights Templar in their search for the Holy Grail. Hamill will play Talus, a veteran of the Crusades who survived a decade in captivity. Tom Forbes and Genevieve Gaunt are also joining the cast toplined by Tom Cullen. According to Entertainment Weekly, History has renewed the series with a new showrunner, Aaron Helbing taking over for Dominic Minghella. Eden Sher-fronted 'The Middle' spin-off gets pilot order

"The Middle" spin-off focusing on Eden Sher's Sue Heck has received a pilot production commitment at ABC network. According to Variety, the show will be a single-camera comedy project, which would follow the adventures of eternal optimist Sue (Sher) as she navigates from the small town of Orson to the big city of Chicago. "The Middle" creators Eileen Heisler and DeAnn Heline are attached as writers and executive producers. Heisler and Heline's Blackie and Blondie Productions will produce in association with Warner Bros Television. News of the series' development first officially broke in May, shortly after the series finale of "The Middle". Sher confirmed shooting the pilot of the new show last month. The original sitcom, which ran from 2009-2018, ended with Sue still in college, though in the flash-forward it was revealed that she eventually married her longtime friend Sean. "The Middle" also starred Patricia Heaton, Neil Flynn, Charlie McDermott and Atticus Shaffer.

Oliver Stone reteaming with Benicio Del Toro for 'White Lies'

Oliver Stone is all set to work with frequent collaborator Benicio Del Toro in "White Lies". The actor-director duo will reunite after 2016's "Snowden". They have also previously worked in "Savages". According to The Hollywood Reporter, the New York-set drama will film on location in spring 2019. Jack (Del Toro), a child of divorce that is now repeating his parents' mistakes in his own marriage and with his troubled son. Big B to guest star in Kajol's 'Helicopter Eela!'

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan will be seen in a guest appearance in Kajol's upcoming movie "Helicopter Eela!". Kajol and Bachchan are reuniting after their 2001 family drama "Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham". The film directed by Pradeep Sarkar, will see Bachchan playing himself. "There is a particular scene for which we needed him, so we requested him to play this part. It is an important scene and Mr Bachchan agreed to do this since he has worked with me before and is also close to Ajay and Kajol," Sarkar said in a statement. The film that deals with parenting and generation gap, will have Kajol essaying the role of a single mother to National Award-winning actor Riddhi Sen. Michael Angarano joins 'This Is Us'

Michael Angarano in on-board the cast of "This Is Us". The "I'm Dying Up Here" actor will play Jack's brother, Nicky, in season three of the NBC hit drama, Deadline reported. Angarano will be a recurring character. In the show, Jack (played by Milo Ventimiglia) has not revealed much about his brother's death, but it is known that the two served together in Vietnam. The character was introduced in the episode "Brothers" in a flashback, and was seen again in a group photo of the two in Vietnam alongside other servicemen. Jack told his sons Randall and Kevin that Nicky was killed in the war. The upcoming installment of the Emmy-winning series will explore that time in Jack's life, the showrunners have confirmed, as well as Kevin's visit to the country, which was teased in the finale to the second season.
