Tracy Letts to star in 'Ford Vs Ferrari' as Henry Ford 2

Pulitzer and Tony Award winner Tracy Letts will play Henry Ford 2 in James Mangold's yet-untitled directorial "Ford Vs Ferrari."According to the Variety, the movie starring Matt Damon and Christian Bale is based on the true story of automotive visionary Carroll Shelby (played by Damon) and his British driver Ken Miles (played by Bale)--who are leading an eccentric and determined team of American engineers and designers.The team, which is dispatched by Ford Motor Company chief Henry Ford 2 and Lee Lacocca on the Ford GT40 mission, built an automobile that could defeat Ferrari at the 1966 Le Mans world championship.Produced by Chernin Entertainment, the film will also see 'Outlander' star Caitriona Balfe playing Ken Miles' wife.53-year-old Tracy Letts received the 2008 Pulitzer Prize for Drama for his play "August: Osage County" and a Tony Award for the revival of "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?"The untitled project is slated to release on June 28, 2019.

4,387 large borrowers account for 90 pc of NPAs

The government today said 4,387 large borrowers accounted for Rs 8.6 lakh crore or 90 per cent of total non-performing assets (NPAs) of the banking sector at the end of March 2018. The NPAs of the banking sector were Rs 9.62 lakh crore at end-March 2018, up from Rs 2.51 lakh crore as on March 2014, said Minister of State for Finance Shiv Pratap Shukla in a written reply in the Rajya Sabha. "The RBI has apprised that as on March 31, 2018, there were 4,387 borrowers with aggregate funded outstanding of Rs 8,59,532 crore related to Non-Performing Assets (NPAs) of more than Rs 10 crore and above outstanding, in respect of scheduled commercial banks," he said while replying to another question. He further said as regards details of companies/defaulting individuals against whom NPAs of more than Rs 10 crore and above are pending recovery, the RBI has informed it is prohibited from disclosing credit information. Warner Bros World Theme Park inaugurated in Abu Dhabi

U.S. entertainment giant Warner Bros opened its theme park, one of the world's largest indoor amusement parks, in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday.Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi is located on Yas Island, just outside the United Arab Emirates' capital of Abu Dhabi, reported The Hollywood Reporter.Covering more than 1.6 million square feet, the theme park was reportedly built in seven years and it will feature 29 rides across six worlds.It will also feature Cartoon Junction, Bedrock, Dynamite Gulch-- which is drawn from Looney Tunes and Hanna-Barbera, and Warner Bros Plaza.The World Abu Dhabi is the latest of a slew of theme parks which have opened in the country in the last couple of years.

Groom among nine held for hosting belly dance at reception

Nine people, including a bridegroom, were today arrested for allegedly hosting a show with belly-dancers from Russia, who were brought from Mumbai and Delhi, at a wedding reception here, police said. The groom, Yahya Bin Salam Bahamed, along with eight others including the agent, who brought ten Russian dancers, the event manager, owner of the orchestra team and the manager of the function hall were arrested, Deputy Commissioner of Police (South Zone) V Satyanarayana said. The marriage was held on July 21 and reception was conducted at a function hall in which several VIPs and other dignitaries attended. After the VIPs left, around midnight police received a complaint that loud music was being played at the hall following which a team went and stopped the music orchestra from playing. President Ram Nath Kovind today attended a special screening of "Chalo Jeete Hain", a film inspired by the early life of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee today said Bengal had the best talent pool to come on top of the entertainment industry despite financial constraints in the fields of publicity and marketing. Addressing a function to commemorate the 38th death anniversary of matinee idol Uttam Kumar, Banerjee said, "Bengal may not have as much financial backing as many other states, we may be lacking on publicity and marketing fronts. But one will find the best talent pool on this soil." Anurag Kashyap's 'Manmarziyaa', Nandita Das' 'Manto' to be screened at TIFF

Anurag Kashyap's next "Manmarziyaa" and Nandita Das' "Manto" have been selected for screening at the Toronto International Film Festival. The organisers today unveiled the first titles for the festival, which will run from September 6 to 16 this year. Kashyap's film, titled "Husband Material" in English and starring Vicky Kaushal, Abhishek Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu in the lead, will have a gala premiere at the 43rd edition of the film festival. An elated Kashyap also shared the news on Twitter and wrote, "'Manmarziyaan' aka 'Husband Material' premieres at TIFF before releasing on the 21st September." Amitabh Bachchan-Taapsee Pannu starrer 'Badla' to release on March 8 next year

Sujoy Ghosh's "Badla", starring Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu, will release on Women's Day next year. "Badla" is the official remake of the 2016 Spanish film Contratiempo (The Invisible Guest).
