AM Green, Rotterdam Port partner for $1 bn India-Europe green fuel corridor

AM Green, backed by the founders of Greenko, has signed a pact with the Port of Rotterdam Authority to build a green energy supply chain between India and Northwestern Europe. The partnership would enable annual trade of 1 million tonnes of green fuels worth up to USD 1 billion, linking India's emerging green hydrogen clusters with Europe's largest energy port of Rotterdam. In a statement, the firm said it has signed a memorandum of understanding for "building a green energy supply chain between India and Northwestern Europe via Rotterdam, Europe's first energy port and a key hydrogen carrier's entry point". This includes the supply of bunkering fuels and Sustainable Aviation Fuels (SAFs) and analysing requirements for the development of terminal infrastructure in Rotterdam and along the supply chain to Northwestern Europe. NTPC Green Energy wins 80MW battery storage project in Kerala auction

State-owned NTPC Green Energy on Thursday said it has bagged a battery energy storage project in Kerala in an auction conducted by NHPC. The 80MW/320MWh battery energy storage project will provide power back-up or supply of 80MW for four hours. NTPC Green Energy Ltd (NGEL) emerged as the winning bidder in the e-reverse auction conducted by NHPC on May 21, 2025, a regulatory filing said. The auction was part of NHPC's tender for the selection of Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) developers for setting up of 125MW / 500MWh ISTS-connected standalone BESS in Kerala. NGEL has secured two key projects under the initiative. Letter of award from NHPC is awaited, it stated.

KPI Green Energy Q4 results: Net profit sees over 2-fold jump to Rs 104 cr

KPI Green Energy on Wednesday said its net profit more than doubled to Rs 104.18 crore in the quarter ended March 31, 2025, on account of higher revenues. The company had posted a net profit of Rs 43.04 crore in the January-March period of the preceding 2023-24 financial year, the KP Group company said in a regulatory filing. The company increased its revenues to Rs 577.80 crore in the period under review, from Rs 292.96 crore in the year-ago quarter. The board has approved a dividend of 0.20 paise per equity share of the face value of Rs 5 each for financial year 2024-25, the filing added. Meanwhile, another group entity of Gujarat-based KP Group, KP Energy, reported a rise in consolidated net profit to Rs 45.79 crore, from Rs 24.89 crore in the fourth quarter FY24. Total income of the company rose to Rs 408.64 crore in the January-March period, from Rs 217.40 crore a year ago. UP govt signs MoUs to boost solar push, targets 500 GW green energy by 2030

The Uttar Pradesh government is advancing policy-driven efforts to accelerate green revolution in the state and has signed initial agreements with the Smart Energy Council of Australia and the Hinduja Group. The government has set an ambitious target to generate 500 gigawatts of solar energy by 2030, an official statement said. JSW Neo Energy acquires 4.7 GW green energy platform from O2 Power

JSW Energy on Wednesday said its arm JSW Neo Energy has completed the acquisition of 4.7 GW renewable energy platform from O2 Power for an enterprise value of Rs 12,468 crore. The total installed capacity now stands at 12.2 GW, with 54 per cent from renewable energy, the company said, adding that it is a bold step towards JSW Energy's 20 GW vision before 2030.
