Yoga session held at UK's Stonehenge
The India Tourism office in association with the Indian High Commission here organised a yoga session at Britain's historic Stonehenge as a precursor to the International Day of Yoga later this month. Every year, June 21 is celebrated as the International Day of Yoga or 'Yoga Day'. The unique event witnessed yoga practitioners coming early yesterday morning at 6.00 am to perform 'Surya Namaskar' and other yoga 'asanas' in front of the British cultural icon and world heritage site Stonehenge. Stonehenge is considered as one of the wonders of the world and the best-known prehistoric monument in Europe. 9-year-old boy drowns in swimming pool of Goa hotel
A 9-year-old boy drowned in the swimming pool of a hotel in Calangute near here, police said today. The incident happened at 8pm yesterday when the boy, a resident of Delhi who had come along with his family to Goa for a vacation, went to the swimming pool without the knowledge of his parents, Inspector Jivba Dalvi said. An offence was registered by Calangute police against the management of the resort for negligence as it had not deployed a lifeguard at the pool, Dalvi informed.

HMSI starts bookings for updated Africa Twin
Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) today said it has commenced bookings for the updated version of its 1,000-cc superbike Africa Twin. The bike has been priced at Rs 13.23 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) and the bookings are open for first 50 customers, HMSI said in a statement. A new museum is opening in Warsaw devoted to Polish vodka, a 500-year-old national tradition and one of the country's best-known exports. The Polish Vodka Museum is scheduled to open next Tuesday in a former 19th century vodka factory that is part of an industrial area undergoing revitalization and gentrification. The CEO of the Polish Vodka Association, Andrzej Szumowski, says he hopes the multimedia exhibition housed in several rooms will bring greater recognition to the national drink. Singapore today designated a special event area of the Sentosa island tourist resort for the upcoming summit between US President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un with over 2,500 journalists expected to cover the historic meeting. The second area to be named for the summit was announced in a public order published in the Government Gazette online today which adds to a previous announcement that designated the area around Shangri-La Hotel here as a special event area for the summit which is scheduled to take place on June 12. Extra security measures will be in force for these areas in the period between June 10 and 14. Within the special event areas, there will be a special zone where stricter security checks will be conducted on people and vehicles. The special zone covers an area that includes Universal Studios Singapore and the Capella hotel, a colonial building on the island of Sentosa just off Singapore linked with a causeway.
