Vegetable vendor stabs man over a trivial dispute in Mumbai
A dispute over payment of Rs 10 cost the life a man who was allegedly stabbed by a vegetable vendor in Dadar area of Mumbai on Monday, police said.The deceased, Mohammed Hanif, had gone to purchase vegetable in a market in Dadar area of the city around 11 pm, the police said.A dispute broke out between the man a vegetable vendor over payment of Rs 10 which escalated to such a level that the latter stabbed him with his vegetable knife.The accused stabbed Hanif several times on his neck and hands before fleeing the spot, the police said."As soon as we were informed about the incident, we reached the spot and rushed the man to a nearby hospital where he was declared brought dead," Dadar Assistant Commissioner of Police Sunil Gawker said.Shivaji Nagar police have registered a case of murder against the accused and initiated an investigating in the matter.

In a rare gesture, two senior IAF officers of the rank of Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief Monday flew aircraft as part of a 'vic' formation of five Mirage-2000 at the air base here to commemorate 20 years of the Kargil War. An impressive fly-past was organised at the Gwalior Air Force Station in which, besides Mirage-2000, MiG-21, Jaguar, and an Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH) also were used. Korean War memorial dedicated at Hawaii recreation area
A memorial has been dedicated to Hawaii Island military members who died during the Korean War. The Hawaii Tribune-Herald reported Sunday that the Korean War Memorial was dedicated Saturday in a ceremony at Wailoa State Recreation Area in Hilo. The memorial honours 52 service members killed in action and five who died of noncombat causes during the conflict that began in June 1950. About 200 people attended the dedication of the memorial next to the Vietnam War Memorial. Officials say the memorial was the result of 15 years of planning by the Korean War Veterans Association Big Island Chapter No. 231. Republic of Korea Consul General to Hawaii Choon-goo Kim says Hawaii suffered the highest per capita casualties in the war, which ended with a July 1953 cease-fire.

Commemorating 20 years of Kargil War in 1999, the Indian Air Force (IAF) at Gwalior Air Base on Monday recreated the Tiger Hill attack and displayed aircraft used during the 'Operation Vijay'.The Year 2019 marks the 20th anniversary of victory in 'Operation Vijay', popularly known as the 'Kargil War'.
