Pakistan aims at IT exports worth $25 billion in next three years

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Friday expressed his government's determination to achieve the target of USD 25 billion in IT exports during the next three years. The prime minister said the government is working to develop and promote the telecommunication sector and said steps are being taken to introduce 5G internet services for faster and reliable internet services in the country. Radio Pakistan quoted Sharif as talking with a five-member delegation of the Holland-based VEON group, led by chairman Augie K Fabela, that the 5G services would also help the government realise its vision of Digital Pakistan. Describing the role of the telecom sector as very important in promoting cashless and digital economy, the Prime Minister expressed Pakistan's willingness to work with VEON group for promotion of Information Technology, digitisation and artificial intelligence. UST widens India footprint with Kochi campus, to create over 3,000 jobs

UST, a digital transformation solutions company, on Monday outlined plans to expand its footprint in India by adding 3,000 new jobs at its upcoming Kochi campus over next five years. The California, US-headquartered company is gearing up to inaugurate its own campus in Kochi, Kerala, by December 2027, according to a release. UST, which already has a facility operating out of Infopark Kochi, caters to the US, UK and Asia Pacific clients across domains such as healthcare, retail, telecom, financial services/asset management, and hi-tech. The company, which has a target of having 6,000 employees in the next five years (in Kochi), currently employs more than 2,800 people in its existing facility at Infopark Kochi. The new UST campus will be completed in three years, and will be a 10-floor building with 4,400 seats, spread over 6,00,000 square feet. IT solution provider Mouri Tech files IPO papers to raise Rs 1,500 crore

IT solution provider Mouri Tech has filed preliminary papers with markets regulator Sebi to raise Rs 1,500 crore through an initial public offering (IPO). The Hyderabad-based company's proposed IPO comprises a fresh issue of equity shares worth Rs 440 crore, and an offer-for-sale (OFS) of shares worth Rs 1,060 crore by promoters and an existing shareholder, according to the draft red herring prospectus (DRHP). The offer includes a reservation for subscription by eligible employees, Under the OFS, promoters Sujai Paturu, and Anil Reddy Yerramreddy will be selling shares worth Rs 615 crore, and Rs 316 crore, respectively. Further, existing shareholder Srinivasu Rao Sandaka intends to offload equity shares valued Rs 129 crore. The company may consider raising Rs 88 crore in a Pre-IPO Placement round. Technology service provider Beetel Teletech on Thursday said it has partnered with NASDAQ-listed Cambium Networks to distribute networking solutions in India. As part of this partnership, Beetel will distribute Cambium's comprehensive portfolio of advanced networking solutions like fixed wireless, networking switches, wi-fi, fibre, security, SD-WAN and licensed frequency solutions. "This partnership represents a pivotal step towards securing a strategically advantageous position in India's rapidly expanding networking market.
