Modification at Halol plant to increase output, meet demand: JSW Motor

JSW MG Motor India on Wednesday said it is undertaking facility modifications at its Halol plant to enhance output to meet demand for its all-electric crossover utility vehicle Windsor and to prepare for new products to be sold under its premium retail chain MG Select. The company, which has witnessed the Windsor cross production milestone of 15,000 units, said it anticipates a production slowdown this month due to the facility modifications. The Halol plant has an annual production capacity of over 1 lakh units and plans to take it up to 3 lakh units by around 2027. JSW Group to invest Rs 2,600 cr in copper mines, plant in Jharkhand

JSW Group on Monday said it will invest Rs 2,600 crore to develop and operate two copper mines and set up a copper concentrator plant in Jharkhand. The development marks JSW Group's foray into the copper business as part of its commitment to diversification and growth. "With a planned investment of Rs 2,600 crore, this marks a significant milestone in strengthening India's position in critical resources," it said in a statement. JSW Group said it has made a significant expansion into the mining of non- ferrous metals by winning the mine operator and developer (MDO) contract of two blocks of copper mines in Jharkhand from state-owned Hindustan Copper Ltd (HCL). "The project involves operationalising the two mines and setting up of a copper concentrator plant, with the total capital investment estimated to be Rs 2,600 crore," it said. JSW Defence signs MoU with Telangana for Rs 800 cr UAV manufacturing plant

JSW Defence has signed an agreement with the Telangana government to set up a facility in the state for manufacturing Unmanned Aerial Systems. JSW UAV, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the company, would invest Rs 800 crore to set up the unit in Telangana through a technology arrangement with a leading US-based defence technology company, JSW Defence said in a statement. The MoU was signed in the presence of Telegana Chief Minister Revant Reddy and Parth Jindal of JSW Group on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum (WEF) here. JSW Steel consolidated crude steel production rises 2.3% to 7 MT in Q3

Sajjan Jindal-led JSW Steel on Friday said its consolidated crude steel production rose by 2.3 per cent to 7.03 million tonnes (MT) in the third quarter of the current fiscal. The company's steel output was 6.87 MT in the year-ago period, JSW Steel said in a filing to BSE. The company's Indian operation's crude steel production rose by 3 per cent to 6.82 MT, over 6.63 MT in the year-ago period, the filing said. Capacity utilisation at Indian operations excluding trial run stood at 91 per cent for the third quarter of the ongoing financial year. "Production and capacity utilisation for the quarter was affected due to temporary maintenance activity at one of the Blast furnaces at Dolvi in the month of October, which resumed normal operations in the first week of November," the company said.
