JSW Energy on Thursday said its board has approved the allotment of 80,000 non-convertible debentures aggregating to Rs 800 crore on a private placement basis in two tranches. Earlier in January, the board had approved a proposal to raise up to Rs 3,000 crore through the issuance of rated and listed non-convertible debentures (NCDs) on a private placement basis. According to the filing the Finance Committee, at its meeting held on March 20, 2025, has approved the allotment of 80,000 unsecured, rated, listed, taxable, redeemable NCDs bearing a face value of Rs 1,00,000 each, aggregating to Rs 800 crore in two tranches. The two tranches will be of Rs 400 crore but the first tranche will have a green shoe option of Rs 100 crore. The maturity period for Tranche 1 will be 3 years, while it will be five years for Tranche 2.

JSW MG Motor India on Wednesday said it is undertaking facility modifications at its Halol plant to enhance output to meet demand for its all-electric crossover utility vehicle Windsor and to prepare for new products to be sold under its premium retail chain MG Select. JSW Group on Monday said it will invest Rs 2,600 crore to develop and operate two copper mines and set up a copper concentrator plant in Jharkhand. The development marks JSW Group's foray into the copper business as part of its commitment to diversification and growth. "With a planned investment of Rs 2,600 crore, this marks a significant milestone in strengthening India's position in critical resources," it said in a statement. JSW Group said it has made a significant expansion into the mining of non- ferrous metals by winning the mine operator and developer (MDO) contract of two blocks of copper mines in Jharkhand from state-owned Hindustan Copper Ltd (HCL). "The project involves operationalising the two mines and setting up of a copper concentrator plant, with the total capital investment estimated to be Rs 2,600 crore," it said. JSW Defence has signed an agreement with the Telangana government to set up a facility in the state for manufacturing Unmanned Aerial Systems.
