Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat has said the entire world is in a crisis and is looking at India with a lot of hope for providing solutions to its plethora of problems. The world has expectations from India because it follows the path of religion and culture, he noted while addressing the 'Jeevan Utkarsh Mahotsav', an event held by a well-known religious organisation in Jabalpur on Monday. Bhagwat affirmed that in common parlance, culture means ethical, virtuous conduct, and added that people behave decently only when there is a feeling of goodwill and a deep connection with each other. In the absence of these noble attributes, hostile relations develop, leading to conflicts, the RSS leader cautioned. He noted India has preserved its heritage of rich culture and spirituality even today and that has enabled it to show the right path to the world from time to time. "In reality, we are all one. We are all connected. India has this connection, but the world does

India must do whatever is necessary to get out of the situation that has emerged but it should start charting its own path following the 'sanatan' view of development and progress to shield itself from such problems in the future, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat said on Sunday in the backdrop of US decisions on tariffs and immigration. Addressing a book launch event here, Bhagwat said the problem that India and other countries are facing today is the outcome of the system that the world has been following for the last 2000 years based on a fragmented vision of development and happiness. "We can't turn our backs on the situation. We must do whatever is necessary to get out of it well. But we can't proceed blindly," he said. "So we need to chart our own path. We will find a way out... But inevitably, we will have to face all these things at some or other point in future again. Because in this fragmented vision, there is an 'I' and the rest of the world, or 'we' and 'them'," he added. He said

Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat on Friday said that human beings and countries will continue to face problems unless they understand their real self. Speaking at the 7th foundation day of Brahma Kumaris Vishwa Shanti Sarovar in Nagpur, Bhagwat said that just like Brahma Kumaris, a women-led spiritual movement, RSS works to awaken inner consciousness. Unless human beings and countries understand their real self, they will continue to face problems. If we show compassion and overcome fear, we will have no enemies, he said. Bhagwat said India is great and that Indians must strive to be great as well. He said India is big and it wants to grow bigger. If others think, what will happen to us as India grows bigger and progresses'... then the issue of tariffs crops up, he said, without naming the US. The RSS chief said if humans change their attitude from me to us, all issues will be resolved. The world is looking for solutions, he added.

Noting that Indians should not be complacent about independence, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat on Friday said they need to work hard and make sacrifices to keep it "alive" and also contribute to the world's prosperity and peace. Bhagwat made the statement while addressing a gathering at the RSS office in Bhubaneswar on the occasion of Independence Day. He said an Independent India too has its duty towards the entire world, which is facing innumerable problems and is unable to overcome them since 2,000 years. "Our ancestors ensured India's Independence by making supreme sacrifices. We too need to be as hardworking as they and need to make similar sacrifices to keep it alive and to make the country self-confident and emerge as 'Vishwa Guru' (global leader) to guide the world engaged in quarrel," he said. It also has to become wealthy from an economic perspective," he said, while speaking at the national education conference, 'Gyan Sabha', organised by the RSS-linked Shiksha Sanskriti Utthan Nyas here. Bhagwat also said that Bharat, a proper noun, should not be translated as its identity is respected "because it is Bharat". "Bharat is a proper noun. It should not be translated. 'India is Bharat'. The Congress on Friday took a jibe at Prime Minister Narendra Modi over RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat's reported remarks on stepping aside at 75 years of age, saying what kind of a homecoming is this for the PM that upon returning from abroad he was reminded by the Sarsanghchalak that he will turn 75 this year. During an event in Nagpur on Wednesday, RSS chief Bhagwat mentioned Sangh ideologue late Moropant Pingley's statement about stepping aside after 75 years of age. Bhagwat specifically referred to Pingley's remarks that when the shawl of 75 years is draped over you, it means that you have reached a certain age and should step aside and let others work. In a post in Hindi on X, Congress general secretary in-charge communications Jairam Ramesh said, "Poor award-seeking Prime Minister! What a homecoming this is - on returning he was reminded by the Sarsanghchalak that he will turn 75 on 17 September 2025." Bhagwat emphasised that only a deep sense of patriotism in everyday life can propel both individuals and the nation forward, enabling comprehensive progress. Addressing students and businessmen, Bhagwat asked, "If you are students, how much time do you dedicate to your studies? If businessmen, how long do you work in your trade?" He added that whatever work an RSS
