Bajaj Holdings Q1 results: PAT doubles to ₹3,487 cr on strong investments

Bajaj Holdings & Investment Ltd (BHIL) on Wednesday reported a doubling of consolidated profit to Rs 3,487 crore for the first quarter ended June 30. The company, registered as a Non-Banking Financial Company (NBFC), had earned Rs 1,610 crore in the same quarter a year ago. Total income during the quarter also more than doubled to Rs 338 crore against Rs 148 crore in the first quarter of the previous year, BHIL said in a regulatory filing. However, total expenses declined to Rs 49 crore from Rs 70 crore in the year-ago period. BHIL holds strategic stakes in Bajaj Auto Ltd, Bajaj Finserv Ltd and Maharashtra Scooters Ltd, which it consolidates with other group companies. It has financial investments of over Rs 17,000 crore (at market value). BHIL also has a wholly owned subsidiary, viz. Bajaj Auto Holdings Ltd, which has an investment in group company. Trent Q1 results: PAT up 8.6% at ₹424.7 cr on strong retail performance

Tata group retail firm Trent Ltd on Wednesday reported an 8.6 per cent increase in consolidated net profit to Rs 424.7 crore in the June quarter, driven by steady performance across formats. The company had posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 391.2 crore in the June-April period a year ago, Trent Ltd said in a regulatory filing. Consolidated revenue from operations in the first quarter stood at Rs 4,883.48 crore compared to Rs 4,104.44 crore in the year-ago period, it added. Total expenses in the period under review were higher at Rs 4,368.59 crore against Rs 3,703.96 crore in the same period of the previous fiscal, said the company that runs different retail chains under brands, including Westside and Zudio. "The business delivered a steady performance during the quarter. Jindal Stainless Q1 result: PAT up 10.6% at ₹715 cr driven by strong income

Jindal Stainless on Wednesday reported a 10.61 per cent year-on-year (y-o-y) rise in consolidated net profit to Rs 714.66 crore for the April-June quarter of 2025-26, mainly on account of improved operational efficiencies coupled with higher income. Jindal Stainless, which is the largest Indian stainless steel company, had logged a net profit of Rs 646.07 crore in April-June 2024-25, the company said in an exchange filing. In the first quarter, the company's consolidated total income rose to Rs 10,276.01 crore from Rs 9,480.50 crore in the June quarter of 2024-25. Expenses were at Rs 9,293.30 crore as against Rs 8,593.13 crore in year ago period. NIIT MTS Q1 results: Profit dips 18% to ₹49.3 cr, revenue rises 11%

Corporate training solutions provider NIIT Learning Systems (NIIT MTS) on Wednesday reported a 17.8 per cent drop in its consolidated net profit at Rs 49.3 crore for the June quarter, attributing the decline to sustained caution among corporate customers amid macroeconomic uncertainties. The company had logged a profit of Rs 60 crore in the year-ago period, according to a regulatory filing. Revenue from operations for the first quarter of FY26 was 10.8 per cent higher at Rs 451.3 crore, as compared to Rs 407.2 crore in Q1 FY25. On a sequential basis, the company showed a 1.2 per cent rise in profit and a 5 per cent increase in revenue compared to the preceding March quarter. In its investor presentation, the company noted that economic uncertainty remains elevated. Bajaj Auto Q1FY26 results: Net profit rises 13.84% to Rs 2,210.44 crore

Bajaj Auto Ltd on Wednesday reported a 13.84 per cent rise in consolidated profit after tax at Rs 2,210.44 crore in the first quarter ended June 30, 2025, riding on robust exports and increased sales of premium motorcycles, commercial vehicles and Chetak electric scooter. The company had posted a consolidated profit after tax of Rs 1,941.79 crore in the same period last fiscal, Bajaj Auto said in a regulatory filing. Consolidated total revenue from operations in the quarter under review stood at Rs 13,133.35 crore as against Rs 11,932.07 crore in the year-ago period, it added. Total expenses in the quarter were higher at Rs 10,681.68 crore in the first quarter as compared to Rs 9,703.61 crore in the corresponding period last fiscal, Bajaj Auto said. Resurgent exports and scaling up of the emerging electric portfolio more than made up for the domestic motorcycle performance, which, although improving over the previous quarter, had a subduing effect on the overall growth, it added.
