IRB Infrastructure Developers Ltd on Wednesday reported a 32.49 per cent rise in its consolidated net profit to Rs 187.42 crore for the quarter ended December 2023. The company had clocked a net profit of Rs 141.35 crore during the year-ago quarter, IRB Infrastructure Developers said in a BSE filing. Its total income during October-December 2023 rose to Rs 2,077 crore from Rs 1,570 crore a year ago. The firm's expenses increased to Rs 1,783 crore from Rs 1,351 crore. The company, in a statement, said its private InvIT associate was awarded TOT-12 and TOT-13 projects in Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan.
FMCG major Godrej Consumer Products Ltd on Wednesday reported a 6.35 per cent increase in consolidated net profit to Rs 581.06 crore in the December quarter, aided by volume growth in the domestic market. It had posted a net profit of Rs 546.34 crore in the year-ago period, said Godrej Consumer Products Ltd (GCPL) in a BSE filing. Revenue from the sale of products of the Godrej group's FMCG arm was up 1.54 per cent to Rs 3,622.80 crore in the third quarter of the ongoing fiscal. It was Rs 3,567.72 crore in the corresponding period of the last fiscal. GCPL's total expenses in the December quarter was down 1 per cent at Rs 2,939.39 crore. Total revenue of GCPL during the quarter was Rs 3,729.72 crore, up 2.4 per cent. Max Healthcare Institute Ltd on Wednesday reported a 26 per cent growth in its profit after tax at Rs 338 crore in the December quarter. The company had posted a Profit After Tax (PAT) of Rs 269 crore in the third quarter of FY23, Max Healthcare Institute said in a statement. Network gross revenue stood at Rs 1,779 crore, up 14 per cent as compared to Rs 1,559 crore in the same period a year ago, it added. Max Healthcare Institute Chairman and Managing Director Abhay Soi said the company continued to witness positive trends on all parameters even during this quarter. This translated into revenue and profitability growth, despite expected softness in occupancies due to the festive season. Steel maker Jindal Steel and Power Ltd (JSPL) on Wednesday posted close to a four-fold jump in consolidated profit to Rs 1,923 crore in the December quarter, aided by reduced expenses. Bangur family-promoted Shree Cement Ltd on Wednesday reported an over two-fold jump in its consolidated net profit to Rs 701.85 crore for the third quarter ended December 2023. Petronet LNG Ltd, India's biggest Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) importer, posted a record third quarter net profit of Rs 1,190.30 crore as fall in gas prices increased capacity utilisation at its main Dahej import facility in Gujarat. The company had posted a net profit of Rs 1,175.94 crore in the year-ago period and Rs 814.91 crore profit in the preceding quarter. Profit rose on the back of higher capacity utilisation at 17.5 million tonnes a year import terminal at Dahej, Petronet CEO Akshay Kumar Singh told reporters on a media call. During the December quarter, Dahej terminal processed 218 Trillion British Thermal Unit (TBTU) of LNG as against 154 TBTU during the corresponding quarter a year ago, and 210 TBTU in the July-September period, he said. Homegrown FMCG major Dabur India Ltd on Wednesday reported an increase of 6.24 per cent in consolidated net profit at Rs 506.44 crore for the third quarter ended December 2023. The company had posted a net profit of Rs 476.65 crore in the October-December quarter a year ago, Dabur India said in a regulatory filing.
