Apollo Hospitals on Thursday reported a 76 per cent increase in consolidated net profit to Rs 254 crore for the March quarter. The healthcare major had reported a net profit of Rs 144 crore in the January-March period of the 2022-23 fiscal year. Revenue from operations rose to Rs 4,944 crore for the fourth quarter as compared with Rs 4,302 crore in year-ago period, Apollo Hospitals Enterprise said in a regulatory filing. For the year ended March 31, 2024, the company posted a net profit of Rs 899 crore as compared with Rs 819 crore in FY23. Revenue from operations rose to Rs 19,059 crore last fiscal as against Rs 16,612 crore in FY23. Its net profit stood at Rs 254.88 crore in the year-ago period. Total income fell to Rs 2,158.56 crore in the quarter from Rs 2,810.73 crore in the year-ago period, according to a regulatory filing on Wednesday. Cigarette maker Godfrey Phillips India Ltd on Thursday reported an increase of 46.25 per cent in its consolidated net profit to Rs 215.12 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 2024. The company had posted a net profit of Rs 147.09 crore during the January-March period of the previous fiscal, according to a regulatory filing from Godfrey Phillips India. Its revenue from operations increased 22.86 per cent to Rs 1,197.13 crore during the quarter under review, up from Rs 974.40 crore in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal. Hospitality major EIH Ltd on Wednesday reported more than two-fold increase in consolidated net profit to Rs 247.6 crore for the March quarter, driven by higher revenue. The company, which owns and operates hotels and resorts under the Oberoi and Trident brands, had posted a consolidated net profit Rs 92.16 crore a year ago, a regulatory filing showed. During the quarter under review, its total income rose 17.6 per cent to Rs 781 crore, against Rs 663.86 crore in the corresponding January-March period of the previous year. For the full financial year 2023-24, EIH Ltd's net profit more than doubled to Rs 677.7 crore, as against Rs 329.1 crore in the previous fiscal. RHI Magnesita India on Wednesday reported narrowing of its consolidated loss to Rs 257.89 crore during the March 2024 quarter. It had reported a loss of Rs 678.90 crore during the year-ago period, the company said in a regulatory filing. Its total income rose to Rs 947.47 crore as against Rs 881.29 crore in the January-March period of FY23. During the quarter under review, the company trimmed its expenses to Rs 852.72 crore from Rs 903.85 crore a year ago.
