State-owned power producer SJVN arm SJVN Green Energy has secured 1,352 MW solar power projects, entailing an investment of Rs 7,436 crore. "SJVN has received Letter of Awards (LoA) for 1,352 MW Solar Power Projects to be developed through SJVN Green Energy Ltd (SGEL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of SJVN," a company statement said. According to the statement, these LoAs have been received in the presence of Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, SJVN Director (Finance) Akhileshwar Singh and SGEL CEO Ajay Singh in Mumbai. SJVN Chairman and Managing Director Geeta Kapur informed that these projects of 1,352 MW will be developed at various locations in Maharashtra -- Nashik, Solapur, Ahmednagar and Pune under Mukhya Mantri Saur Krushi Vahini Yojana 2.0. State-owned SJVN on Tuesday announced the commissioning of 100 MW Raghanesda solar power project located at Banaskantha district in Gujarat. The project, bagged at a tariff of Rs 2.64 per unit, has been commissioned through its subsidiary SJVN Green Energy Ltd (SGEL), SJVN said in a regulatory filing. The "Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) has been signed with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL) for 25 years. The cost of construction/development of this project is Rs 642 crore. The project will generate 252.3 million units (MUs) in the first year," it said. The project is expected to generate 5,805 MU of solar power over a period of 25 years.

State-owned power giant NTPC has received approval from the Department of Investment and Public Asset Management to list its green energy arm NTPC Green Energy Ltd (NGEL) to raise up to Rs 10,000 crore, according to a source. NGEL is expected to go public to raise up to Rs 10,000 crore anytime after March, the source told PTI. The NTPC's proposal for NGEL listing was approved by the Department of Investment and Public Asset Management (DIPAM), as per the source. The company is planning to utilise the funds towards energy transition and setting up green energy projects, including solar and green hydrogen. State-owned SJVN Ltd on Thursday said it has bagged a 100 MW solar project under an e-reverse auction conducted by Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd (GUVNL). SJVN bagged the 100 MW solar project at the rate of Rs 2.54/unit on a build-own and operate basis through a tariff-based competitive bidding process of GUVNL Phase XXI, a company statement said. Under the agreement, PIXON Green Energy will provide Hero Future Energies with high-efficiency modules for up to 500 MW annually on a prioritised basis for a period of two years from their fully automated Ecoprogetti line based in Rajkot, Gujarat, a company statement said. Renewable energy firm SAEL on Tuesday said it has secured USD 1 billion funds from various financial institutions, including Norfund, DFC, ADB, and Tata Cleantech, to finance its renewable energy portfolio. The investment will be used to expand the company's solar and biomass projects, capitalising on the conducive market potential and government schemes in the renewable energy sector, a company statement said.
