Prithvi Shaw is a "different quality" player and that's why the youngster was rushed into the Test team, gushed an elated India captain Virat Kohli after the Mumbai teenager was adjudged Man-of-the-match for his century on Test debut against the West Indies. Jammu and Kashmir Governor Satya Pal Malik Saturday presented a cheque of Rs 10 lakh to Asian Games 2018 Bronze medallist Surya Bhanu Pratap who represented the country in Wushu in the competition. CoA Meeting: BCCI reduces its complimentary passes to half

The Committee of Administrators on Saturday sanctioned 600 extra complimentary tickets from BCCI's share to the staging units for the remainder of the West Indies series after multiple associations expressed their displeasure. As per new constitution, 90 percent tickets were supposed to be released for general public with only 10 percent complimentary passes for the staging associations. The BCCI had mandatory five percent complimentary tickets for its sponsors and broadcasters. The situation led to an unrest as Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association gave up their hosting rights for Indore ODI on October 24. The CAB and TNCA also expressed their inability to host if prevailing arrangement existed. Vishwakarma stuns favourite Kadhe to emerge champion, Mahak defends title at Fenesta Nationals

An energetic Siddharth Vishwakarma overwhelmed title-favourite and top seed Arjun Kadhe with his thunderous returns to emerge new national tennis champion while Mahak Jain outplayed Natsaha Palha to defend the women's singles crown at Fenesta Nationals here Saturday. Left-handed Vishwakarma's impressive run culminated with a 6-2 6-7(2) 6-3 win over Kadhe, who is ranked 358 against a humble 1221st ranking of the new champion. Viraj Madappa, who became the youngest Indian to win on the Asian Tour last month, put himself in contention for another title as he shot a fine 5-under 67 at the Yeangder Tournament Players Championship Saturday. He moved within a shot of the co-leaders, American John Catlin and local hope Hung Chien-yao. Madappa was seven-under 209 and tied third in the tournament.
