Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh Monday directed the state's sports department to work out the modalities for setting up a sports university in Patiala. The chief minister also asked the officials to seek clearance from the finance department and present the legislation before the council of ministers in the next Cabinet meeting. Amarinder said the university should be in line with the draft legislation submitted to him by the steering committee headed by International Olympic Committee (IOC) member Randhir Singh.
