'Tatas evaluating options to consolidate AirAsia India, Vistara under AI'

The Tata Group has started an exercise to evaluate options to consolidate AirAsia India and Vistara under Air India to bring operational synergies among the three airlines under its umbrella, sources said. Air India, which the group had taken control of in January after winning the bid to acquire the national carrier for Rs 18,000 crore in October last year, has set up a team under its Director of Operations, R S Sandhu, sources familiar with the development said. The team will evaluate synergies in operations between Air India Express and AirAsia India as well as between Air India and Vistara, they said. "Air India CEO and MD Campbell Wilson has set up this team, which will look into synergy between Air India Express and AirAsia India and also between Air India and Vistara and how to achieve the merger," a source said. The team has been asked to submit its plan within one year, the source added. It is understood that the plan is to achieve consolidation of AirAsia India into Air

Tata Group employs 410 from Maharashtra's Nanded under district initiative

More than 400 women from the rural parts of Maharashtra's Nanded, who recently cleared their Class 12 board examination, have received job offers from Tata Electronics Private Ltd (TEPL) as part of an initiative of the district administration. The initiative was taken up by assistant collector Kirtikiran Pujar who heads the integrated tribal project in Kinvat area of Nanded in Marathwada. "Bureaucracy and the corporate world have come together to provide employment to 410 women, who were chosen during a talent drive in Kinwat, a district official said. Kinwat is a predominantly tribal area, located some 360 km away from Aurangabad. Pujar got in touch with TEPL and the human resources department of the company responded to the proposal, following which a two-day talent hunt was held on September 6 and 7, the official said. Tata 1mg FY22 revenue up 66% to Rs 222 cr; net loss narrows to Rs 146 cr

Tata group-owned online pharmacy 1mg's revenue from operations rose 65.7 per cent to Rs 222.10 crore in FY22, while its net loss narrowed to Rs 146.30 crore, according to data sourced by business intelligence platform Tofler. Tata 1mg's revenue from operations in FY21 stood at Rs 134.04 crore and its net loss was Rs 281.41 crore. Its other income for the financial year ended March 31, 2021, was Rs 24.14 crore. Tata 1mg's total income during FY22 was at Rs 246.25 crore, up 44.19 per cent from Rs 170.78 crore in the previous year. In FY22, facilitation fees accounted for Rs 23.15 crore of revenue and Rs 139.64 crore came from lab test receipts. Tata 1mg is a leading digital consumer healthcare platform providing services such as e-pharmacy, where it delivers medicines and health products at home from licensed pharmacies in over 1,000 cities. Tata group in talks with Bisleri to acquire a stake in company: Report

Tata Group is understood to have initiated talks with Bisleri International to acquire a stake in the packaged water company, according to sources. It is in a very preliminary stage and would be premature to say a deal would fructify, a person in the know of the development said. The Tata Group houses its consumer business under Tata Consumer Products Ltd (TCPL) which also sells packaged mineral water under the brand Himalayan and with brands as Tata Copper Plus Water and Tata Gluco+ in the hydration segment. The talks are understood to have been initiated by the Tata group FMCG arm TCPL. However, when contacted both the companies denied commenting over the development.
