TVS Motor Company posts 25% jump in sales at 301,898 units in Dec

TVS Motor Company on Monday reported a 25 per cent rise in total dispatches at 3,01,898 units in December 2023. The company had sold a total of 2,42,012 units in December 2022, TVS Motor Company said in a statement. Two-wheelers sales were at 2,90,064 units in December 2023 as compared to 2,27,666 units in the same month last year, up 27 per cent, it added. Domestic two-wheeler sales grew by 33 per cent at 2,14,988 units in December 2023 as against 1,61,369 units in December 2022. Motorcycle sales rose by 19 per cent to 1,48,049 units last month as compared to 1,24,705 units in December 2022, while scooter clocked sales of 1,03,167 units as against 76,766 units in the year-ago month, a growth of 34 per cent. TVS Motor Co said it sold 11,232 units of iQube electric scooter in December 2023 as against sales of 11,071 units in the same month last year. TVS Motor says aiming for bigger market share in premium motorbike segment

Two and three-wheeler manufacturer TVS Motor is aiming to capture a bigger market share in the premium motorcycle segment, an official of the company said on Wednesday. The company enjoys the number two position in the premium motorbike segment in India, which is growing at 10 per cent at present, he said. Motorcycles having an engine displacement of 150 cc and above are categorised in the premium segment. "We enjoy the number two position in the premium segment in the Indian motorcycle market. We aim to have a bigger market share in this category," Vimal Sumbly, head (premium business) of TVS Motor said. Launching the TVS Apache RTR 310 in Kolkata, Sumbly said the company now offers premium motorcycles ranging from 160 cc to 310 cc displacements. TVS Motor launches new variant TVS Apache RTR 160 4V at Rs 1.34 lakh

Two and three-wheeler manufacturer TVS Motor has launched the TVS Apache 160 4V motorcycle equipped with Dual Channel ABS and Voice Assist, widening its product portfolio. The new bike, priced at Rs 1,34,990 (ex-showroom Tamil Nadu) was in line with TVS Motor's commitment to safety while experiencing the joy of riding a motorcycle. The bike was launched at the third edition of TVS Motosoul - the flagship motorcycle festival by TVS Motor in Goa. TVS Motor onboards ION Mobility to enter sports scooter sector in Indonesia

TVS Motor Company on Wednesday announced it is extending collaboration with Singapore-based tech startup ION Mobility for its entry in the sports scooter segment in Indonesia. The entry will be through Project Dynamo, ION Mobility's conceptual adaptation of TVS Motor's premium flagship crossover electric two-wheeler TVS X. The two partners will deepen their collaboration through Project Dynamo, which began in February 2023 after TVS Motor led ION Mobility's USD 18.7-million Series A funding as a strategic investor. TVS Motor Company has unveiled its premium electric crossover two-wheeler TVS X targeting the millennials and Gen Z population in India and abroad. Launched at an introductory price of Rs 2.50 lakh, the electric two-wheeler comes with a high-performance battery pack that delivers 4.44kWh of installed capacity of energy, acceleration of 0-40 kilometre per hour in 2.6 seconds, and a sustained maximum speed of 105 kmph.
