The US is going to continue to expand its engagement with India to make it one of the most important relationships of the 21st century, influential US Congressman Ro Khanna said on Monday. Currently on a visit to India, the Indian-American lawmaker said deeper cooperation between India and the US in areas of critical technologies and defence would be beneficial not only for the two countries but for the globe. US lawmakers travelling to India to be present during PM Modi's address

A bipartisan group of US lawmakers are travelling to India to participate in the Red Ford address of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on August 15 among other things, according to an official statement. The bi-partisan Congressional delegation is led by Indian-American Congressman Ro Khanna and Congressman Michael Waltz. The two are co-chairs of the bipartisan Congressional Caucus on India and Indian Americans. The lawmakers will visit Red Fort where the Prime Minister will address the nation on August 15th, India's Independence Day. They will meet with business, tech, government, and Bollywood leaders in Mumbai, Hyderabad, and New Delhi and visit Raj Ghat, a historic memorial dedicated to Gandhi, the media release said. India, US notify WTO about mutually resolving four trade disputes

India and the US have informed the WTO that they have mutually resolved three more trade disputes, in line with the commitment made by the two countries last month. The World Trade Organisation (WTO) has already issued a similar communication on July 17 with regard to one of the six disputes. Notification for the remaining two would also come on the WTO website. The two nations have already communicated to the WTO about mutually resolving all six disputes. In three separate notifications to the WTO, the two countries have asked the Geneva-based body to terminate these disputes. India, US mutually resolve all 6 trade disputes at WTO following PM's visit

India and the US have mutually resolved all six trade disputes pending at the World Trade Organisation (WTO), in line with the commitment made by the two countries during the US visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi last month, an official said. The official said that both countries have informed the WTO's dispute settlement body (DSB) about the resolution of all the pending disputes. The WTO has already issued a communication with regard to one of the disputes related to the imposition of additional customs duties by India on 28 US products. The official added that the remaining five communications would also be issued by the WTO.
