Gandhinagar, May 13 (ANI): As the much speculated Gujarat BJP core group meeting ended on Tuesday, party state in charge and leader Om Prakash Mathur said that no decision on who will succeed Narendra Modi as state's chief minister is taken. He said that that whoever succeeds the Gujarat CM will continue the development work in the state. He also said that there will be more informal meeting during the day and the days to come and the decision on next chief minister of Gujarat will be taken at an appropriate time.

Bangalore, May 13 (ANI): Former Karnataka Chief Minister and BJP leader BS Yeddyurappa on Tuesday said that he is set to take any responsibility that his party gives him. He also added that Narendra Modi is going to be the PM of India. Yeddyurappa, who rejoined the BJP in January this year, was not particular about entering national politics. However, there are many who feel Yeddyurappa may be in for a bigger role at the centre if the BJP led NDA wins the polls.

New Delhi, May 13 (ANI): Reactions come in from different political parties as central government moves forward with appointment of Lt Gen Dalbir Singh Suhag as the next Army Chief after the nod by the Election Commission. Congress leader Meem Afzal said that till the time any government is in power, it keeps on doing the procedural things that are required. New Delhi, May 12 (ANI): An FIR has been filed against Congress candidate Ajay Rai at the Sigra Police Station on the directive of the Election Commission for allegedly violating the election code of conduct. Rai was wearing the party poll symbol on his kurta while going to cast vote. Section 126 and 130 of Representation of Peoples Act and section 171 (H) of IPC relating to poll code of conduct have been slapped against him.

Varanasi, May 12 (ANI): Congress candidate from Varanasi Ajai Rai on Monday clarified his much controversial act of wearing his party symbol at the polling booth in his constituency. Rai said that he did not do so intentionally, in fact the symbol was on his clothes since the day he went for an election campaign. He added that when BJP's PM candidate intentionally reflected his party symbol the BJP leaders cannot ask for action against him. He further stated that if Election Commission gives him any notice he will answer it.
