Poonch (J-K), June 11 (ANI): Indian Army neutralised an Improvised Explosion Device (IED) in a controlled explosion. The incident happened in Poonch near Krishna Ghati brigade. This IED was planted last evening by anti national elements and it was detected by BSF who were on Road Opening Party (ROP) duty last evening.
Srinagar (J-K), June 11 (ANI): While speaking to ANI, IGP Kashmir SP Pani said, "2 terrorists were neutralised, their bodies have been handed over to their families. It was a clean operation, there was no collateral damage. Final search is over, arms and ammunition recovered, case registered and probe underway." Earlier, two terrorists were neutralised by security forces in an exchange of fire that broke out in Awneera area of Shopian district on Tuesday morning.
Vadodara (Gujarat), Jun 11 (ANI): Three people have been arrested for allegedly blackmailing a class 12 student by clicking her objectionable pictures, extorting money from her and raping her. "Three accused have been arrested and one more has been detained. Two absconding accused will be arrested soon," police said. Three of the accused have been identified as Pradip Chouhan, Nikunj Rohit and Pradip. According to the police, Chouhan and Rohit were victim's batchmates and Pradip, with whom she was in a relationship, clicked her objectionable photos. "He extorted Rs 50000 from her and sent pictures to a Bhavans Prajapati via Nikunj who blackmailed and raped her. It was also sent to other accused who blackmailed her," police added.

Jalandhar (Punjab), Jun 11 (ANI): A man and a woman were arrested by Punjab police from two different locations in Jalandhar and recovered 1.60 kilograms of heroin from their possession. Both accused were arrested on Monday. The police have also seized Rs 8, 39, 250 cash from them. The case has been registered in this regard and further investigation in the in the matter is underway.
Sangrur (Punjab), Jun 11 (ANI): Two-year-old boy Fatehveer Singh, who had fallen into a borewell in Sangrur, was rescued on Tuesday morning after almost 109-hour-long rescue operation. The child has been taken to a hospital. The two-year-old boy fell into an abandoned 150-foot borewell on June 6 afternoon outside his house. In the joint operation, the NDRF and local administration dug a parallel pit to rescue the child. There was not enough space in the 9-inch diameter borewell for the child to make any movements. However, a movement in his body was noticed at wee hours on June 8, almost 40 hours after the incident. The authorities were keeping vigil over the child through a small surveillance camera and he was provided oxygen supply through pipes inside the borewell. The team though was not able to provide him with any juices or food as his face is covered with a jute bag over which he stepped and fell into the borewell. Guwahati (Assam), June 11 (ANI): The Assam State Transport Corporation (ASTC) will deploy 15 electric buses in Guwahati under government's FAME (Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of Electric vehicles) scheme. The first electric bus is likely to ply in the city on the Kamakhya temple route. The buses will be deployed phase-wise in all the routes to provide emission-free communication in the city and charging stations will be installed at Inter-State Bus Terminal, Guwahati and ASTC's Paltan Bazar complex. While speaking to ANI on this matter, Managing Director (MD) of the Assam State Transport Corporation Anand Prakash Tiwari said, "Buses to be operational within this month and they will be emission free."
Raipur (Chhattisgarh), June 11 (ANI): While speaking to ANI on monsoon and current weather condition in Chhattisgarh state, Meteorologist of Raipur Meteorological CentreHP Chandra said, "Monsoon has reached Kerala at least eight days late. So, it is expected to enter Chhattisgarh at around June 18 and cover the entire state within next five days after that. So, it is expected to cover the entire state of Chhattisgarh by June 23." "Currently, there is heat wave condition in the entire state, temperature is 4-6 degree Celsius above normal. The condition is expected to persist for the next two days, we have also issued a heat wave warning," he added.
Muzaffarpur (Bihar), June 11 (ANI): A bus overturned in Bihar's Muzaffarpur on Monday late night. Around 20 people got injured after the bus overturned near Sahmalwa petrol pump. The incident occurred under Baruraj police station limits in Muzaffarpur. The injured have been referred to Sri Krishna Medical College and Hospital. The bus was carrying people to a wedding ceremony.

Head of Google Stadia, Phil Harrison, said publishers will be allowed to offer their subscriptions through the service, The Verge reports. Harrison indicated that publishers with bigger catalogs and significant line-ups will be allowed to offer subscriptions. Rajouri (J and K), June 11 (ANI): Under the handicraft center in J and K's Rajouri, several women's and girls' are getting empowerment through training facility. Handicraft center is providing training to girls belonging to Below Poverty Line (BPL) category and school dropouts. Coming from far flung areas, the girls are trained to craft various decorative designs on clothes at this centre. After getting training of handicraft, these women's and girls' can start their own business and can also earn their daily livelihood. New Delhi, June 11 (ANI): To reduce the incidence of premature death from cardiovascular disease (CVD), people must maintain lower blood pressure, cut sodium intake, and eliminate trans fat from their diet, suggests a new study. Researchers estimated that scaling up treatment of high blood pressure to 70 per cent of the world's population could extend the lives of 39.4 million people. Cutting sodium intake by 30 per cent could stave off another 40 million deaths and could also help decrease high blood pressure, a major risk factor for CVD and eliminating trans fat could prevent 14.8 million early deaths. More than half of all delayed deaths, and two-thirds of deaths delayed before age 70 are projected to be among men, who have the highest numbers of non communicable disease deaths globally, researchers found. New Delhi, June 10 (ANI): Chairperson of Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) Swati Maliwal wrote to Prime Minister Narendra Modi demanding death sentence for the accused in the rape case of a two-and-a-half-year-girl in Tappal in Aligarh. "Two-and-a-half-year-girl daughter brutally raped and murdered. Eyes gauged out and extreme injury inflicted. Government arrested culprit but is it enough?
