Krishna (Andhra Pradesh), June 07 (ANI): Two brothers went for bathing at Manginapudi Beach in Andhra Pradesh's Krishna and went missing in the sea. The mishap took place, when they were taking bath in the sea. While, one of them was rescued by the local fishermen, but the other one is still missing. Search operation is on.
Bettiah (Bihar), June 07 (ANI): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National vice president and former Bihar minister Renu Devi's brother Pinu assaulted a chemist in Bihar's Bettiah on June 03. He apparently got miffed, when one of the staff members remained seated and did not stand up to greet him. Incident was caught on CCTV camera. A case has been registered in this regard. Further investigation is underway. While speaking to ANI, Bettiah Superintendent of Police Jayant Kant said, "A case has been registered. Victim's family has been provided with police security. We've seized a 4-wheeler that was used to abduct the victim and take him to some other place."

According to the study, experiences such as poverty, residential instability, or parental divorce or substance abuse, can lead to changes in a child's brain chemistry, muting the effects of stress hormones. These hormones are responsible to help us face challenges, stress, or to simply help us "get up and go."Together, these impacts to executive function and stress hormones create a snowball effect, adding to social and emotional challenges that can continue through childhood. As part of this study, a team of researchers examined how adversity can change the ways children develop. The study, published in the Journal of Development and Psychopathology, evaluated 306 children at intervals over more than two years, starting when participants were around 3 years old, up to age 5 1/2. Kashipur (Uttarakhand), June 07 (ANI): Wall of a building collapsed after a strong thunderstorm hit the area on June 06. The mishap took place in Uttarakhand's Kashipur in Udham Singh Nagar. Two persons died and one got injured. The injured was rushed to a nearby hospital. While speaking to mediapersons, Additional District Magistrate Uttam Singh Chauhan said, "Rs 4 lakh will be given to the families of the deceased."

There is no mention of any acid substance or mention of rape in the post-mortem report. The family wants the accused to be severely punished, in the worst way possible. They want death sentence for the accused. 2 accused have been arrested, 5 police officials have been suspended."
New Delhi, June 07 (ANI): On the sidelines of the WWDC this week, Apple has quietly rebuilt and re-released a font from 35 years ago when the original Macintosh debuted. As Fast Company reports, the original Mac featured a series of fonts designed by Susan Kare, all named after famous cities. From that series, Apple has made the New York font available for free to download. The New York font has appeared earlier in an iBooks refresh, however, this release makes it downloadable, albeit limited to using for mockups and Apple-related apps only.

Ahmedabad (Gujarat),Jun 06 (ANI): In a sheer case of medical negligence, parents of a 5-month-old baby alleged that a nurse had chopped off thumb of the child. The incident took place at Sheth Vadilal Sarabhai Hospital in Ahmedabad. Hospital authorities claimed that the child was suffering with pneumonia, when the nurse was removing bandage by mistake a part of her thumb was injured. According to the hospital's Resident Medical Officer Dr Jitendra Parmar, "The tip of the thumb was injured and it was immediately stitched by the plastic surgeon. A committee has been formed to investigate the matter and action will be taken accordingly." Parents went to police and registered an FIR.

New Delhi, Jun 06 (ANI): Declining reports of Prime Minister Narendra Modi meeting his Pakistani counterpart on the sidelines of the SCO Summit in Bishkek, MEA on Thursday clarified that no such meeting is scheduled between the two at the SCO Summit scheduled to be held in the capital of Kyrgyzstan on June 13-14. "To the best of my knowledge no meeting has been planned between PM Modi and Pakistan PM Imran Khan at the SCO Summit in Bishkek," MEA spokesperson Raveesh Kumar informed media in Delhi. On Kartarpur corridor, Kumar said, "We have sought clarification on reports that controversial elements have been appointed by Pakistan, from a committee associated with this project. We have sought clarification from Pakistan on some of key proposals forwarded in last meetings."

There are a number of ways in which we can assist; one of them is to build a cricket stadium under a Line of Credit or some other means of financial assistance. They've requested for coaching program for young Maldivian players, both men and women, in India. They would like some training programmes in Maldives. Indian Government has already given them some training kits. We hope BCCI takes additional responsibility in this regard.
Betul (Madhya Pradesh), Jun 06 (ANI): Residents of villages in Bhimpur block of Betul district in Madhya Pradesh faced acute shortage of water. The situation has worsened as the region has received scanty rainfall so far. The locals need to travel 2-3 km everyday to fetch water. According to villagers, there is no proper water arrangement by the government. A villager said, "We have to get up at 4 am to get water, we either travel for kilometers to get water or we purchase it. No official pays attention to our problems". While speaking to ANI, another villager narrated, "We have to get up at 4 am to get water. This hampers our studies. There's no electricity in the village". "This is not a new problem. We have no other option but to consume contaminated water", said a local.
