Doda (JandK), June 07 (ANI): Indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police on Friday have recovered huge cache of ammunition in Bhalessa area in Doda district. The Army and police personnel recovered cache of ammunition form a cowshed of a house during a search operation. One person has been apprehended by the police and case has been registered under Arms Act. Further investigation by police is on.
Morena (MP), June 07 (ANI): At least Four people got injured in police firing and baton charge in Madhya Pradesh's Morena today. The injured were admitted to district hospital including three women and one old man. The incident took place when police went to a village to conduct raid. Further details are awaited.
New Delhi, Jun 07 (ANI): BJP workers held a protest outside Delhi's Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's residence over water crisis, today. Several areas in the national capital are going through severe water crisis. The workers raised slogans against CM Kejriwal. One of the BJP workers said, "AAP government have been saying areas like Sangam Vihar will get water however nothing has been done so far."
New Delhi, June 7 (ANI): Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot recently chaired the Public Health Engineering Department's (PHED) review meeting in Jaipur. In the meeting CM instructed the weekly review of drinking water arrangement, electricity supply and prevention of seasonal diseases at chief Secretary level.In the meeting Chief Minister directed immediate disposal of complaints related to water shortage received on helpline 181 and also the high level monitoring of it. He also instructed the officials to keep all RO plants and solar energy based De-fluoridation plants operational with high priority to fluoride affected areas.
New Delhi, June 7 (ANI): A high level meeting was recently organised by Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot at his residence in Jaipur to review the status of distribution of agriculture electricity connection to the farmers.CM Gehlot instructed the electricity companies to provide one lakh new agriculture electricity connection in the stipulated time period. It was revealed in the meeting that out of the target of one lakh connections, 65 thousands connections have already been provided.In the meeting, CM directed the officials to provide three phase and single phase power to the rural and urban consumers according to the need, during the summer season. To ensure an uninterrupted supply of electricity, Chief Minister instructed the authority to expedite the work of improving power lines, changing transformers and feeder repair work. He also emphasized at the adequate supply of power for drinking water projects so that availability of water in summer does not get affected.

While speaking to ANI, Former IPL Chairman Rajeev Shukla backed Dhoni by saying, "It is neither a religious thing or nor a political thing. I don't think ICC should object this. ICC should reconsider it and should not put a ban. Dhoni has not violated any code of conduct".
Lucknow (UP), Jun 07 (ANI): At least 19 people lost their lives while as many as 48 people got injured in the dust storm and lightening that struck several parts of Uttar Pradesh on June 06. While speaking to ANI, GS Priyadarshi, Relief Commissioner said that as per the data collected, 19 casualties from 12 district and 48 injuries have been reported due to thunderstorm yesterday. He added, "I have spoken to Collectors, ADMs and they have been told to compensate the affected as soon as possible."
New Delhi, June 07 (ANI): Amid the controversy over former captain of Indian cricket team, Mahendra Singh Dhoni's Army insignia gloves, Union Sports Minister Kiren Rijiju said 'Prestige of the nation has to be kept in mind.'Kiren Rijiju said, "The government do not intervene in the affairs of the sports bodies, Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) or any sports federation they are autonomous. But when team play for the country, then prestige of the nation has to be kept in mind."He further added, "I would like to request BCCI to take up the matter with International Cricket Council (ICC), if necessary inform the government accordingly." ICC had asked BCCI to get Indian Army symbol removed from MS Dhoni's gloves.

Addressing the media, he informed that Special Investigation Team (SIT) formed under Superintendent of Police rural area. "Forensic science team, Special Operation Group (SOG) and team of experts also in the SIT to conduct investigation on a fast track basis. POCSO Act will also be there in the case," he added.
Banda (Uttar Pradesh), June 07 (ANI): The traffic movement was hampered for over 10 hours in Mawai. The traffic was put at halt due to Uttar Pradesh's Tindwari Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA Brijesh Prajapati's protest over illegal mining and water crisis. While speaking to ANI, Circle Officer of Banda Rajeev Pratap Singh said, "He had blocked the traffic since 11:00 pm, he had a few demands regarding illegal sand mining. The roads are now opened."

Male (Maldives), June 07 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be embarking on a two-day official visit to the Maldives and Sri Lanka tomorrow. This would be his first visit abroad after his re-election. In the first leg of his two-nation tour, PM will reach Male where he is scheduled to hold discussions on a range of subjects, including deepening economic, political and strategic relations. He will address the Maldivian Parliament, besides meeting all key leaders of the island nation including President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih. While speaking to ANI on PM Narendra Modi's visit, Ambassador of India to Maldives Sunjay Sudhir said, "It is a historic visit, all preparations are in place, it's an honour for us that PM's visit has been accorded status of state visit which is usually reserved for heads of state, in our case they made an exception."
Umaria (MP), June 07 (ANI): In Madhya Pradesh's Umaria, District Collector sets an example of humanity as he removes air conditioners from his office and installed it in Nutrition Rehabilitation Centres (NRC) to save children from heat wave. There are 4 NRCs in the block and district administration has installed ACs in all of them from their office. District Collector of Umaria, Swarochish Somavanshi said, "It was a spontaneous decision. It was really hot inside Nutrition Rehabilitation Centres' (NRC) building. We were arranging air conditioners but we felt it needed to be installed immediately as there were children."
Sukma (Chhattisgarh), June 07 (ANI): A surrendered Naxal commander created awareness among tribals on the occasion of World Environment Day in Chhattisgarh's Sukma District. Arjun was a wanted in connection with different Naxal-related activities. He was seen dancing with tribals in Dornapal area of Sukma District on the occasion of World Environment Day on June 05. He killed around 31 police personnel and surrendered before police in Sukma on March 8. Arjun was carrying a reward of Rs 8 lakh on his head. He was in-charge of South Bastar division, which is a cultural wing of the Maoists. In 2001, he was appointed as the member of the banned CPI (Maoist). Arjun's wife has also surrendered in Dantewada, few months ago.
Gurugram (Haryana), June 07 (ANI): Cricketer Virat Kohli has been fined by the Municipal Corporation of Gurugram (MCG) for washing car with the drinking water. They have issued challan to Virat Kohli's domestic help staff for using drinking water in Gurugram. Kohli resides in DLF Phase-I in Gurugram and has six to seven cars in total including 2 SUVs at his residence. Complaints regarding the wastage of drinking water for washing cars and other purposes have already been received by MCG in past.
Amaravati (Andhra Pradesh), June 07 (ANI): Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh YS Jagan Mohan Reddy called on Yuvajana Sramika Raithu Congress Party (YSRCP) legislative party meeting in AP's Amaravati on Friday. The meeting was attended by all the elected party MLAs at Reddy's camp office in Tadepalli. All the 150 MLAs of the YSRCP are present in the meeting. In the Andhra Pradesh Assembly election, Reddy's YSRCP got an absolute majority by winning 151 out of 175 seats.

New Delhi, June 07 (ANI): While speaking to ANI on making Sanskrit as India's official language as said by the National Commission for Scheduled Tribes (NCST) Chairman Nand Kumar Sai, Congress leader Shashi Tharoor reacted on it, saying, "Sanskrit is a wonderful language but it is not easy language and is not currently spoken by most, so it would be a bit of stretch to suddenly turn Sanskrit into an official language, not a realistic request."
Srinagar (J-K), June 07 (ANI): Kashmiri martial artists will participate in the 2nd edition of India Open International Taekwondo Championship. At least 16 Kashmiri players, both boys and girls will participate in the championship. The event will start from June 11 to 16 in Hyderabad. 25 countries including Australia, America, Japan and Korea will participate in the game. It is the second time, the event is happening in India. 2nd edition of India Open International Taekwondo Championship is organised by Taekwondo Federation of India.
Ayodhya (Uttar Pradesh), June 07 (ANI): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will inspect the developmental work in Ayodhya during his visit today. He is also expected to unveil a seven-foot tall statue of Lord Ram at the 'Shodh Sansthan' museum. This statue is fashioned out of a single rosewood block and is from Karnataka. Yogi Adityanath will visit Ram ki Paidi and will see the under-construction prayer place in Ayodhya. His visit to Ayodhya was announced a day after the Shiv Sena's media cell stated on June 5 that the party's chief, Uddhav Thackeray will visit Ayodhya later this month.
