Ahmedabad (Gujarat), June 02 (ANI): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA Balram Thawani apologized to Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Nitu Tejwani in a joint press conference along her over yesterday's assault incident. Balram Thawani said, "She is like my sister, I have apologized to her for what happened yesterday. We have cleared out the misunderstandings between us. I have promised to help her if she ever needs any help." On the other side NCP worker Nitu Tejwani tied a 'Rakhi' on Balram's hand relating herself as his younger sister. Balram Thawani was caught on camera thrashing Nitu Tejwani in Ahmedabad's Naroda.

New Delhi, Jun 03 (ANI): After hinting to make public transport free for women in the national capital, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Monday announced that the women will be allowed travel free in all DTC buses, cluster buses and metro trains, and the same could start within 2-3 months. While speaking to ANI, few women reacted on his decision and said, "It is a good step but it has some positive and negative impact as well. It will increase the rush."A girl said, "Today, females are capable and they know how to travel and live and I don't think that I need that but if there is things like that then it is good." "Free ride should be available and I am happy and agree with the decision," said another girl.
Siachen Base Camp (JandK), Jun 03 (ANI): Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Sunday paid tribute to the fallen soldiers at the Siachen Base Camp in Jammu and Kashmir, where he was accompanied by Chief of Army Staff General Bipin Rawat. "Paid tributes to the martyred soldiers who sacrificed their lives while serving in Siachen. More than 1100 soldiers have made supreme sacrifice defending the Siachen Glacier. The nation will always remain indebted to their service and sacrifice," Singh tweeted. Singh also met serving Army personnel at the base camp and said the soldiers are performing their duty with great courage and fortitude even in extreme conditions and treacherous terrain. This was Singh's first official visit to the Siachen Base Camp after taking charge of the Defence Ministry. Singh oversaw Home Ministry in last cabinet. Siachen Base Camp is one of the highest battlefields in the world situated at an altitude of over 5,700 meter.
New Delhi, Jun 03 (ANI): Taking a dig at Delhi Chief Minister's free travel announcement for women in all public transport including metro trains, Delhi Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) chief Manoj Tiwari said that the "ghoshna mantra" has announced another "empty promise" due to the "fear" of losing his "political ground" as state polls were nearing. Tiwari criticised Kejriwal for neglecting the deteriorating condition of DTC buses, and impressed upon the need to increase the fleet of buses.

He claimed that there were no lapses on part of Mehul Choksi in fact, the lapses were reported from the side if PNB's auditors. "On all DTC buses, cluster buses and metro trains women will be allowed to travel free of cost so that they have a safe travel experience and can access modes of transport which they were not able to, due to high prices," Kejriwal said. "I have given one-week time to officials to make a detailed proposal - for both DTC and metro - on how and when can this be implemented. We are making an effort to start this within 2-3 months. We are also seeking suggestions from people regarding implementation."Kejriwal added that Delhi government will bear the entire expense of the new scheme but also discouraged the exploitation of the new decision, and said that those who can afford should purchase tickets
New Delhi, Jun 03 (ANI): Acting on his poll promise, albeit a bit late, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Monday announced that the work of installing CCTV cameras across the national capital will start from June 08, as tendering process of 1.5 lakh CCTV cameras has been completed and over 70,000 CCTV cameras have been surveyed, and the installation process is expected to complete by December this year. "As you know, we are trying to install CCTV cameras in the state for the last two-three years. Tendering process of 1.5 lakh cameras has been completed. 70,000 cameras have been surveyed, and from June 08, the cameras would start getting installed, and we expect it to be complete by December," Kejriwal told reporters in Delhi

New Delhi, Jun 03 (ANI): Apple has decided to break the stereotype for iPhone users by making it easy to download thick apps, which were earlier possible only over Wi-Fi. 9to5 Mac spotted that Apple has increased the cellular download limit for iPhone and iPad from 150 MB to 200 MB. Now, users can download games, apps, video podcasts, or more that are slightly heavier. In the test download, the App Store allowed compressed app over the said limit. For example, one can probably successfully download a game over the cellular limit that is listed at 240 MB but while downloading, the version that is downloaded is below the 200 MB limit as it removes the irrelevant assets.
