Mumbai (Maharashtra), Jun 04 (ANI): Congress leader Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil resigned as Congress MLA in Maharashtra on Tuesday. While speaking to ANI, he said, "I didn't even campaign for the party during Lok Sabha elections. I don't doubt High Command; they had given me an opportunity by making me the Leader of Opposition. I tried to do good work but the situation made me resign."
Dhanbad (Jharkhand), June 04 (ANI): Jharkhand Police foiled a self-immolation attempt by a para-teacher in Dhanbad. Mohammed S Sheikh poured kerosene on himself outside the office of the Deputy Commissioner. Sheikh took the decision allegedly over the delay in salary payment. Sheikh said that para-teachers in Jharkhand had remained unpaid for several months despite an agreement between the state government and DDPTA over payment.
Damoh (Madhya Pradesh), Jun 04 (ANI): Locals are facing water scarcity issue in MP's Damoh. The incident is from Bundelkhand area. With soaring high temperature and depleting water level, locals are bound to migrate. Locals have to wait for tankers to get drinking water. Government has not taken any proper action yet.

He added, "We also said 'Jai Bangla' and 'Jai Hind' as we don't have any problem with it. It is all same for us. Mamata Banerjee became the Chief Minister because of EVMs only. When she wins then EVMs are good but when she loses then she starts claiming that EVMs have been tampered. She has never fulfilled promises made to the state. She said she will send people behind chit fund scam to jail but in reality did nothing. People want to eliminate violence from West Bengal and only BJP can do that".

He was accompanied by Union Minister Ramdas Athawale and other officials. Officials greeted their minister by flowers and sweets. Gehlot has made his way to the Narendra Modi cabinet for a second consecutive time. Gehlot was appointed as the Minister of Social Justice and Empowerment during the Modi government's first stint in 2014.

They claimed that the activity is undergoing in connivance of the police. However, police has claimed that the carcass was months old. ASP, Baghpat Ranvijay Singh said, "A group of people claiming to be part of an organisation informed police of presence of animal carcass in Bhaghpat. Police immediately reached the spot, however, the carcass seemed to be months old. Further investigation will be done."

Brides dressed in red attires were seen performing the wedding rituals as per Hindu tradition at a ceremony. Due to thunderstorms, many trees and electric poles fell down on National Highway 26. Police along with the help of locals removed trees and debris from the streets.
