New Delhi, May 10 (ANI): While speaking to ANI, BJP's national spokesperson Shahnawaz Hussain said, "Sam Pitroda, who is a close aid of Gandhi family, is saying whatever happened was in past, 'hua toh hua'. Does he even know, what has happened in 1984? It was the dirtiest massacre happened in the history of India. They say 'ab hoga nyay', now the justice will take place when all the congress leaders who are accused in cases will go behind the bars. By making such statements, Sam Pitroda is adding insult to the wounds of Sikh community".
Rohtak (Haryana), May 10 (ANI): While addressing a public rally in Haryana's Rohtak on Friday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi talked about Congress' Sam Pitroda's remark on 1984 riots and said, "'Hua so hua'- the three words that sum up Congress's arrogance were uttered yesterday by one of its most senior leaders, he said this on 1984 anti-Sikh riots. This leader is one of the closest people to the Gandhi family. Many Sikhs in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh were targeted during the 1984 riots but today Congress is saying 'hua so hua'."
Rohtak (Haryana), May 10(ANI): While speaking to ANI, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a scathing attack against Congress over Sam Pitroda's remarks on 1984 anti-Sikh riots. PM Modi said, "Reflects Congress's mentality, they have done this for years. Rajiv Gandhi had said 'when a big tree falls earth shakes'. They even made Kamal Nath in-charge of Punjab, now made him MP CM. So don't take this as an individual's statement".He further added "This is Congress's arrogance which got them 44 seats and now people of India will ensure that they slip even further". On Thursday, Indian Overseas Congress Department chairman Sam Pitroda had said: "It happened in 1984, so what?"
Rohtak (Haryana), May 10 (ANI): While speaking to ANI on Opposition's charge that PM is ranking up nationalism issue, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, "I am saying from day 1, we gave houses to 1.5 crore poor, electrification of 18,000 villages, Ayushmaan Bharat, MSP, highways etc. I wanted Congress to challenge us but Congress can't debate on these issues as facts are required. Congress can't fight elections on issues of development so they manufacture a lie for which no facts are needed, but BJP is answerable to people and we keep all issues in front of public."

Aurangabad (Maharashtra), May 10 (ANI): The locals of Maharashtra's Aurangabad are facing acute water crisis. The incident is of Vihamandwa village. They are forced to buy drinking water as there're no means of getting clean water. There's no facility of government tankers and that is why locals are forced to call the private tanker. Government has not taken any action despite several appeals.

Refuting PM's accusation, she said, "How can those who suffered from casteism be casteist? Entire country knows he isn't an OBC by birth, he hasn't suffered from the atrocities of casteism. So he shouldn't say such lies about 'mahagathbandhan'."

"If he has proof, then he must bring it today. My resignation would be written by Arvind Kejriwal and I will sign it publicly," said Gambhir. He further added, "If they have proof, I am ready to take retirement from politics today itself. I will take retirement on May 23 if they come with proof but what if he doesn't turn up with proof? Will he resign as Delhi Chief Minister and retire from politics?" Earlier, Atishi had alleged in a press conference that Gautam Gambhir had distributed a pamphlet containing 'obscene and derogatory' remarks against her in the constituency.

Coimbatore (Tamil Nadu), May 10 (ANI): Discrimination against dalits continued in outskirts of Tamil Nadu's Coimbatore. The incident happened when these people were engaged in a temple festival celebration in Kumittipathi village. Women dalits and devotees were attacked by mobs of upper-class (Gounder) community. Police are deployed in the village to avert further clash between dalits and Gounder community people.
New Delhi, May 10 (ANI): The Constitution bench heard the Ayodhya case on Friday. During the hearing, the three-members Mediation Panel had seek extension of time to find an amicable solution. After hearing the panel, the Supreme Court has granted time till August 15. The CJI didn't disclose the progress of the case and kept it confidential. "We're not going to tell you what progress has been made, it's confidential," said Gogoi. The five-judge bench headed by Chief Justice of India (CJI) Ranjan Gogoi includes Justice SA Bobde, Justice SA Nazeer, Justice Ashok Bhushan and Justice DY Chandrachud. Before attempting to judicially adjudicate the case pending before the Apex Court since 2010, the bench had wanted to explore a negotiated settlement and had directed negotiations in Ayodhya away from media eye to facilitate a solution to the issue. The Allahabad High Court in 2010 had ordered partitioning the disputed 2.67 acre between claimants in 2:1 ratio.

North 24 Parganas (WB), May 10 (ANI): A massive fire broke out in a factory in Bilkanda gram panchayat of Barrackpore municipality of West Bengal's North 24 Parganas district last night and spread to two nearby factories. At least 20 fire tenders reached the spot to douse the fire. No casualties have been reported yet. The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained. Further investigation is underway.

Balrampur (Chhattisgarh), May 10 (ANI): R Prajapati, a visually-impaired student from Chhattisgarh's Balrampur passed 12th CBSE examination with flying colours by scoring 82%. Prajapati achieved this feat by studying from Delhi Government's school in Braille system. His achievement was also acknowledged by Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, and he got a congratulatory letter. "There were no facilities for me in our village so I asked my parents to find a school for me. I'm feeling happy, I'll continue studying further," he said. Prajapati aims to crack UPSC civil services exams.
New Delhi, May 10 (ANI): Expressing 'regret' over slapping Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal during a roadshow on May 04, Suresh, the assaulter said he himself didn't know what was going through his mind when he executed the infamous slap. Suresh, however, clarified that he is not associated with any political party but said he was influenced by Arvind Kejriwal especially during the 'India Against Corruption' movement in 2011. Suresh was also disappointed over the lack of focus shed on his community by respective governments and said he perceived Kejriwal as an honest man during the anti-corruption movement in 2011.
