District-level Judo championship organised in Srinagar

Srinagar, Feb 11 (ANI): Combat sports enthusiasts in Srinagar participated in district-level Judo championship on February 10. It was organised by JandK Judo association for Kashmiri players. Championship aim at enhancing mental and physical fitness of the players. The winning players will be selected for state-level competition. Students are getting exposure to learn self defence and self protection.

Delhi election results: Counting of votes begins

New Delhi, Feb 11 (ANI): The counting of votes for the Delhi Assembly elections began at 8 am on February 11. Polling for Delhi Assembly seats was held on February 08. Around 21 centres have been established in the city for counting of votes. 62.95 per cent was the total turnout in Delhi polls 2020, 5 per cent less than the Assembly polls held in 2015. Exit polls have predicted that AAP will retain power with two-third majority.

Confident of AAP's victory as party worked hard for people in last 5 years: Manish Sisodia

New Delhi, Feb 11 (ANI): Delhi Deputy Chief Minister and AAP leader Manish Sisodia is confident of party's victory. Speaking to ANI, he said people of Delhi must have voted for AAP as the party worked hard for 5 years. "We are confident of a win today because we have worked for people in the last 5 years," said Manish Sisodia. Deputy CM Manish Sisodia's family offered prayers at their residence. Bijapur encounter: Wreath laying ceremony of CoBRA jawans held in Raipur

Raipur (Chhattisgarh), Feb 11 (ANI): The wreath laying ceremony of two CRPF's CoBRA jawans was held in Chhattisgarh's Raipur on February 11. Jawans Vikas Kumar and Purnanand Sahu lost their lives in an exchange of fire with Naxals at Irapalli village of Bijapur district on February 10. Six other jawans were also injured in the encounter. One Naxal was killed in the encounter that took place in the Pamed Police Station limits. The commandos were from the 204 Battalion of the Commando Battalions for Resolute Action (CoBRA).

UP Police arrests man for allegedly raping 3-year-old in Sitapur

Sitapur (Uttar Pradesh), Feb 11 (ANI): A 3-year-old girl was allegedly raped and murdered in Maholi town of UP's Sitapur on February 10. Mahendra Pratap Singh, DSP said, "The girl went missing in the evening and her body was recovered in a sack from the house of a neighbour named Raju. The case has been registered and the accused has been arrested." The body of child has been sent for postmortem.

Yuva Sena's leader Honey Mahajan shot, airlifted to Amritsar hospital

Amritsar (Punjab), Feb 11 (ANI): Shiv Sena's student wing - Yuva Sena's North India chief Honey Mahajan admitted to a hospital in Amritsar. He was airlifted from Gurdaspur after being shot at in Dhariwal. According to police official, "We appeal everyone to stay calm. Honey Mahajan is under treatment and is stable." An acquaintance of Mahajan, accompanying him, died on spot.

ARM shows off new Edge AI chip designs for cloud-less processing on IoT device

New Delhi, Feb 11 (ANI): Chipmaker ARM has announced two new chip designs for AI processing, focused particularly on the internet of things (IoT) devices. The new designs- the ARM Cortex-M55 and Ethos-U55 are based on Edge AI technology, which basically means processing on a device without a cloud connection, The Verge reports. The ARM Cortex-M55 promises up to 15x improvement in machine learning and 5x enhanced digital signal processing compared to predecessors. When combined with Ethos-U55 NPU, it can offer another 32x machine learning performance boost. ARM will not be manufacturing the new designs. It will serve as blueprints for the ARM partners for their own hardware. The company doesn't expect actual silicon to arrive until early 2021.

Chennai's Anna University set to increase fee

Chennai, Feb 11 (ANI): All India Council for Technical Education has requested state governments to increase fees in engineering and technical courses. The fees in Chennai's Anna University is set to be hiked. Former VC Dr Adinarayana Kalanidhi said, "There are mistakes in many fronts who are deciding about technical education. One is that AICTE which is supposed to maintain standard other is University which is supposed to inspect and decide whether inside the same things are available as they have indicated earlier. Next things is to see whether they are running the colleges as they have collected the fees. The last thing is whether the colleges have requisite qualified faculty."
