New Delhi, Feb 02 (ANI): External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar attended Tamils association programme in the national capital on February 02. While addressing the gathering, he asserted that we have a government for which reforms means to benefit not only higher income but also the last person. "One reason why I joined politics was, I saw a govt which has been talking about reform and change for many years but all of us know that many of the benefits of reforms and change have gone to higher income people. For the first time, we have a government for which reform and change means nutrition, mothers' health, girls' education, and toilets. It is a change which I felt I should also contribute to bring about the growth, reform and progress in this country," said External Affairs Minister.
Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala), Feb 02 (ANI): Speaking on Union Budget for the financial year 2020-21, Kerala Finance Minister TM Thomas Isaac said, "Kerala has suffered. Our tax share was Rs 17,800 crore last year and now it will be only Rs 15,000 crore, it is an absolute decline to the devolution to the state," said Kerala Finance Minister.

Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh), Feb 02 (ANI): A man was shot dead by bike borne assailant in UP's Lucknow. Another person was injured in the attack who is admitted to the hospital. The incident took place near Central Drug Research Institute (CDRI) in Hazratganj area. Police is present at the spot. Speaking to mediapersons, DCP of Central Lucknow, Dinesh Singh said, "The man was fatally attacked by unknown miscreant. A police team has been formed for the investigation."

The woman arrived in Madhya Pradesh's Mandsaur along with her parents and got married to her long-term boyfriend. The couple met five years ago in Canada and fell in love with each other. While speaking to media persons, bride said, "We met in a collage of Canada. He helped me a lot when I came to the collage after a while, we fell in love. We are already in a relationship for 5 years."

New Delhi, Feb 02 (ANI): Revenue Secretary Ajay Bhushan Pandey said tax collection structure has been simplified in Union Budget 2020-21. "We thought of transparent and simple service to calculate tax for filing. There must be several families who would still use the older structure, however, families who didn't take exemptions earlier, will now be benefitted with the new tax system," said Revenue Secretary Ajay Bhushan Pandey.
