Mumbai, Jan 03 (ANI): Vinayak Damodar Savarkar's grandson Ranjit Savarkar on January 02 reacted on the controversial booklet on his grandfather that claimed that Hindu Mahasabha co-founder had a physical relationship with Nathuram Godse. Slamming Congress, he said that the party doesn't have any evidence and making allegations against Savarkar. He urged Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray to take action against the publisher of the book and the Congress party.

Delhi's Peeragarhi factory fire: CM Kejriwal meets deceased firefighter's family Vijayvargiya

New Delhi, Jan 03 (ANI): Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on January 03 reached the home of deceased firefighter Amit Baliyan, who sacrificed his life during a fire fighting operation in Peeragarhi area. The Delhi Chief Minister met braveheart firefighter's family and expressed his condolences. He also announced ex-gratia of Rs. 1 crore and a government job to one of the deceased family member. A massive fire broke out at a factory in Delhi's Peeragarhi on Jan 02. During rescue operations a blast occurred, after which factory building collapsed. Several people, including fire brigade personnel Amit Baliyan trapped inside the building. Later, Baliyan was rescued but succumbed to injuries.

CAA protests: No casualty was reported in Meerut violence, says CO Dinesh Shukla

Meerut (Uttar Pradesh), Jan 03 (ANI): Uttar Pradesh Police has released a video clip where few protestors were seen attempting to burn policemen and Rapid Action Force (RAF) officials during CAA protest in UP's Meerut. The incident happened on Dec 20. Speaking on the incident, Circle Officer (CO) of Shehar Kotwali, Dinesh Shukla said, "Protestors closed the shop with policemen, RAF officials and some journalists in it. They broke the divider and blocked the road so that no police official could reach there. We reached at the spot and we got the trapped officials out of the shop. Almost 30-35 people were in a shop at the time of incident and in a lane there were almost 20 people, including a woman RAF official." He further said, "Our foremost aim was to save ordinary people and fighting with all the odds, we reached there. Our mission was successful and no casualty was reported."

Oil Prices jump in Asian trading market following Soleimani's death

Hong Kong (Asia), Jan 03(ANI): Oil prices in the Asian Trading Market have jumped after media reported Qasem Soleimani, the head of Iran's elite Quds Forces death. Brent Crude soared 1.31%, to USD 67.12 per barrel while US crude jumped 1.24%, to USD 61.94 per barrel during morning trading hour in Asian market. US Confirmed Soleimani was killed in 'Defensive Action' carried out on the direction of President Donald Trump. The attack has come days after an Iran Backed militia attacked the US Embassy. Soleimani and 25 other people of popular mobilization forces were killed in a US airstrike near Baghdad's International Airport.
