Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh), July 19 (ANI): District Administration visited Bhopal's Sarotipura village on Thursday, where locals are deprived of basic facilities. They are deprived of amenities like-electricity, proper roads and clean drinking water. The officials also held a meeting with the villagers and assured them of solving their problems. While speaking to ANI on this matter, District Panchayat Inspector Dilip Shinde said, "The main issue in this village is that there is no proper road, it will be constructed. There are some people who are eligible to get pensions but they don't get it. So, I have asked my secretary to look into it."
Narayanpur (UP), July 19 (ANI): Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi was detained from going in Uttar Pradesh's Sonbhadra today. Priyanka is set to meet the families of those who were killed in firing over a land dispute on July 17. Speaking on this issue, Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi said that Administration not letting us to go there, they should clarify us that why we are being stopped "Just want to go and meet families of victims (Sonbhadra firing case), I even said will take only 4 people with me. Yet administration is not letting us go there. They should tell us why we are being stopped. We will continue to sit here peacefully," she added.
Kalahandi (Odisha), July 19 (ANI): Relatives of a man carried his body on a sling made of clothes in Odisha's Kalahandi. He died during medical treatment at a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO). The incident took place in Gunupur village of Kalahandi district. They carried his body on a sling made of clothes, after they were allegedly not given a hearse van. While speaking to ANI, one of the relatives said, "We asked for a van but medical officers told us they don't run van on Mondays." Meanwhile, the Medical Officer of Thuamul Rampur Government Hospital said, "A private organisation, had taken in the patient at 9:00 am but he died by 1:45 pm. They searched for a vehicle to carry body back to their village but didn't get one. In our hospital, we have a hearse van for Junagarh, Kalampur and Thuamul Rampur areas."
Mysuru (Karnataka), July 19 (ANI): Amid ongoing Karnataka political crisis, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) state Member of Parliament (MP), Shobha Karandlaje climbed 1001 steps of Sri Chamundeshwari Devi Temple in Karnataka's Mysuru today. She climbed up the steps to pray for veteran BJP leader BS Yeddyurappa to become the next Chief Minister (CM) of Karnataka. Shobha Karandlaje is also the General Secretary of Karnataka BJP. Chamundeshwari temple is one of most prominent temples in Mysuru.
Chhapra (Bihar), July 19 (ANI): Three people were beaten to death by locals in Bihar's Chhapra today. The incident took place in Baniapur Tehsil of Saran district. They were beaten to death on suspicion of cattle theft. Their bodies were sent for postmortem by the police and investigation is underway.

Prayagraj (UP), July 19 (ANI): In Uttar Pradesh's Prayagraj a video of a father and his son getting viral in which the villagers' hostage both of them and forced them to do sit-ups. The incident came into light, when a boy along with his friend reached to meet his girlfriend, where the villagers caught them. When his father came to rescue his son, the villagers caught him as well and tied both of them with a tree and forced them to do sit-ups. A case has been lodged and investigation is underway.

Neemuch (MP), July 19 (ANI): Locals in Madhya Pradesh's Neemuch district allegedly thrashed three people who were trying to escape after stealing a goat, at Bhadwa Mata road. "FIR has been registered against the three. An FIR also has been registered against the people for thrashing them," a police official said on Thursday. Four to five people have also been rounded up involved in the case, police added.

Jalpaiguri (West Bengal), Jul 19 (ANI): India has been using non-lethal policy on India-Bangladesh frontier since 2011. Non-lethal policy means using of those weapons which are not deadly but serve the purpose effectively. Main motive of using non-lethal weapons is to save life while stopping cross border smuggling. Under the non-lethal strategy, BSF has 12 bore pump action gun and types of hand grenades like stun, chilli and dye. According to BSF, as many as 211 of its personnel were injured between 2015 and 2016. On July 11th, a BSF soldier lost his hand and suffered serious injuries in a bomb attack when Bangladeshi cattle smugglers along the India-Bangladesh border in West Bengal.
New Delhi, Jul 19 (ANI): While the accumulation of proteins in the brain is a marker to indicate the onset of Alzheimer's, a new study analysed the ways in which these proteins spread, that might help in describing why the disease is more prevalent in females than males. A recent study presented at the Alzheimer's Association International Conference has identified differences in the spread of a protein called tau, which is linked to cognitive impairment- between men and women, with women showing a larger brain-wide accumulation of tau than men due to an accelerated brain-wide spread.

Maharashtra's Nagpur is now suffering with water crisis as water level of Navegaon Khairi Dam and Gorewada Lake has gone down. Orange City Water Works Ltd, which supplies water in Nagpur, has decided to not supply water on Friday and Sunday this week. While talking about the same, PRO at Orange City Water Pvt Ltd Sachin Dravekar said, "Due to less rainfall, water level of Navegaon Khairi Dam and Gorewada Lake, which give water to Nagpur, has gone down. So it has been decided that water won't be supplied on Friday and Sunday this week". He further added, "There will be a meeting of Nagpur Municipal Corporation and Orange City Water Works on Monday where further discussion as to how to tackle the situation will be done, it'll be decided if this system is to be followed in the coming weeks too".

Capital Hospital gifted a sapling to at least 30 new born babies every day. Parents received the gift on behalf of new born babies. The scheme with name 'One Baby, One Tree', gives out saplings free of cost. The initiative aims at saving environment and give oxygen to minimum 400 people per plant.
