New Delhi, July 08 (ANI): Defence Minister Rajnath Singh rejected the allegations made by Congress by stating that it doesn't have any role in orchestrating defections in Karnataka. He said BJP has never indulged in horse trading. While speaking in Lok Sabha on Monday, Rajnath Singh took a jibe at congress party over Karnataka political crisis. New Delhi, July 08 (ANI): The All India Trinamool Congress (TMC) held a protest in front of Gandhi statue in Parliament over disinvestment in Public sector undertakings (PSUs) on Monday. Earlier, Former Congress president and Chairperson of the UPA Sonia Gandhi had criticised the Modi-led government in Lok Sabha saying that Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru had termed PSUs as 'temples of modern India' and such temples are in danger. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman had earlier mentioned in the budget speech that strategic disinvestment of select CPSEs would continue to remain a priority of this government. The government will undertake a strategic sale of PSUs and will also continue to do consolidation of PSUs in the non-financial space as well.

Aligarh (UP), July 08 (ANI): According to the Uttar Pradesh police, a woman in Aligarh has claimed that she was asked to vacate her rented accommodation here by her landlord after she joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). The woman, Gulistana, said, "I joined BJP yesterday and when my landlord came to know of it, she misbehaved with me and asked me to vacate immediately." Police registered a case under relevant sections of the law and is investigating the matter. "Prima facie it appears that the mother of the landlord had demanded Rs 4000 from Gulistana for an electricity bill, following which they had an argument over Gulistana joining a political party. A case has been registered under relevant sections of the IPC," said Akash Kulhary, SSP Aligarh.
Agra (UP), July 08 (ANI): A UP Roadways bus fell into a drain on Yamuna Expressway resulting in the loss of lives of 29 people and leaving several others injured on Monday morning. The double-decker bus belonged to Awadh Depot and was going to New Delhi from Lucknow. As per initial reports, as many as 50 people were onboard, when the bus fell into the drain. Police have reached the spot and rescue operation has begun to take out the trapped passengers. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has expressed his grief and condolences on the death of passengers and directed the District Magistrate and Senior Superintendent of Police to provide all possible medical attention to the injured. UP Roadways has announced an ex-gratia of Rs 5 lakh to the families of the deceased. While speaking to ANI, DM of Agra Ravi Kumar NG said, "The incident took place around 4:30 am. Driver probably dozed offand the speeding bus broke our barrierand fell in the drain. Search operation underway."
Mississauga (Canada), July 08 (ANI): Scores of protesters, mostly Hindus from Sindh, who have made Canada their home, on Saturday gathered at the Mississauga Celebration Square here, demanding Pakistan to stop forced religious conversion of minor Hindu girls and justice for those who have been forcibly converted. The protests were held to pressurise the Pakistani government to take action against criminals who are using religion as a tool to kidnap and rape innocent girls, according to the organisers. "As you know Sindhi Hindus are in pain because many cases of forced conversions of girls are happening in Pakistan nowadays," an official release calling for the protest stated.
