Kolkata, July 04 (ANI): West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee flagged off ISKCON's Jagannath Rath Yatra in Kolkata today. All India Trinamool Congress (TMC) MP Nusrat Jahan and her husband Nikhil Jain also accompanied her. Kolkata's ISKCON Rath Yatra is considered to be the second largest after Puri's Rath Yatra. The festivities will conclude on July 12.
Chamoli (Uttarakhand), July 04 (ANI): Municipal Corporation has come up with a unique initiative to recycle plastic in Uttarakhand's Gopeshwar. A project is being planned to convert this plastic garbage into bricks and floor tiles. The city gets an average of 20 quintal plastic every day. The project will save the city from both plastic waste and environment damage. A drive has begun in the city to segregate the plastic from garbage. An experiment of making few plastic bricks and tiles has turned out to be successful by Corporation.
Sambhal (UP), July 04 (ANI): One cow smuggler was arrested in an encounter between Sambhal Police and the smuggler, in Uttar Pradesh's Sambhal on Wednesday. One Police constable was injured during the encounter. The smuggler identified as Nasim. The constable and accused both were shifted to a local hospital for treatment. The accused have many cases registered against him. While speaking to mediapersons, police official said, "An encounter broke out between police personnel and the smuggler. One police constable and smuggler got injured during the fire. Both were shifted to a hospital for the treatment."

Mumbai, July 04 (ANI): Rahul Gandhi pleaded not guilty in the defamation case filed against him for allegedly linking Gauri Lankesh's murder with 'BJP-RSS ideology'. He has been released on Rs 15000 surety amount. Former MP Eknath Gaikwad has given surety for Rahul Gandhi. Speaking to mediapersons, Rahul said, "I did not say anything in court. I had to appear in court. It is a fight of ideologies. Attacks are being made and I am enjoying it." Congress leader refused to make any comments on his resignation from the post.

Asansol (West Bengal), July 04 (ANI): All India Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader and Asansol Mayor Jitendra Tiwari gave cheques of Rs 25,000 each to 22 Rath Yatra clubs in WB's Asansol on Wednesday. Mumbai, July 04 (ANI): Congress leader Rahul Gandhi appeared before the Mumbai court on Thursday in connection with the RSS defamation case. Congress leader Milind Deora received him. It is in connection with a defamation case filed against him in 2017 by a RSS worker, Dhrutiman Joshi. Gandhi was allegedly linked in journalist Gauri Lankesh's killing with the 'BJP-RSS ideology'.

He dug up around a dozen ponds in villages of Chandaus block in Aligarh to conserve water. He started this initiative around 8-9 years ago, when ground water level decreased continuously in the area. With this initiative, ground water level has increased. Indeed, Rinku Sharma is an inspiration for younger generation. Geneva (Switzerland), July 04 (ANI): Director of the European Foundation for South Asian Studies (EFSAS), Junaid Qureshi, on Wednesday, urged the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights to rectify the "serious inaccuracies" in its first-ever report on the situation in Jammu and Kashmir.
