Protestors alleged that All India Trinamool Congress (TMC) workers attacked them. In last few months, violence on BJP workers has rapidly increased in the state.
New Delhi, Jun 26 (ANI): After Prime Minister Narendra Modi quoted former Union Minister Arif Mohammad Khan in his speech in the Lok Sabha, the latter on Tuesday sided with him and said that PM Modi used his quote to send across a message. "The Prime Minister has referred to my interview, to give a message that for how long any section of the people, I am not talking about any particular community, can allow itself to be deceived by the power-wielders. Moradabad (Uttar Pradesh), Jun 26 (ANI): Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) staged protest in Uttar Pradesh's Moradabad. They protested after one of their workers was allegedly beaten up by a cop. The incident happened during the vehicle checking. BJP Youth Wing workers alleged that the cop slapped the worker too.
Amaravati (Andhra Pradesh), Jun 26 (ANI): The process of demolition of 'Praja Vedika', a public grievance hall constructed by previous Telugu Desam Party (TDP) government in the state, started on Tuesday evening. 'Praja Vedika' was constructed adjacent to the residence of former Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu as a grievance hall. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy had on Monday ordered the demolition of 'Praja Vedika'. Jagan, while addressing a collectors' conference at 'Praja Vedika', claimed that the hall was constructed illegally and by violating many acts. He also stated that this was the last meeting taking place at the building. At first, the hall was planned to be demolished on Wednesday morning. However, the state government preponed the process and started the demolition process today itself. In fact, Naidu is expected to reach his residence this night. Coimbatore (Tamil Nadu), Jun 25 (ANI): A car museum was inaugurated in India's southern Coimbatore city dedicated to former formula racing driver and designer, Sundaram Karivardhan on Monday. In memory of Karivardhan, cars built and raced by him were unveiled during the inauguration of a section of museum. Sipani Dolphin, McDowell 1000 and Formula single-seater cars were among some of those on display. The museum aims to give exposure to young engineers to Karivardhan's designs and learn from it. Formula One Driver, Narain Karthikeyan who was present for the unveiling of the cars said, Karivardhan was instrumental in helping a generation of young drivers get into the sport in India. Considered to be the pioneer of Indian motorsports Karivardhan was killed in 1995 while flying a trainer aircraft. He was the designer of the open-wheel class, Formula Maruti car.
Bhatpara (West Bengal), Jun 25 (ANI): Congress and CPM workers who were participating in a peace march on the streets of Bhatpara, North 24 Parganas against political violence in the state, clashed with police after being stopped. New Delhi, Jun 24 (ANI): An Indian Air Force (IAF) contingent, including Sukhoi fighter jets, will participate in a joint air exercise 'Garuda' with the French. The Garuda contingent will depart on June 25 and the exercise will take place between July 1 and July 14 in France, the IAF said in a tweet. In a video posted on Twitter by IAF, Bareilly Air Force Base Commander Air Commodore , M Ranade spoke about Indo-French joint exercise 'Garuda' to being conducted in France soon. He informed this is the 6th edition of the exercise. It will help learn lessons of best practices each one has to offer.

Lucknow/ Kanpur (Uttar Pradesh), Jun 25 (ANI): With temperatures soaring and heat waves being declared in various states in the past, Uttar Pradesh's Lucknow and Kanpur woke up to showers of rain, giving a much-needed respite from the scorching heat. India Meteorological Department (IMD) recorded a temperature of 39 degree Celsius and 29 degree Celsius as maximum and minimum temperature respectively in Lucknow. Several women in the past have performed prayers for rain in Kanpur.

Sawai Madhopur (Rajasthan), June 25 (ANI): Animal lovers now have another reason to celebrate, as a tigress at Ranthambore more popularly known as T-73 has given birth to three cubs. The three cubs were first spotted last Sunday with their mother when they were captured on CCTVs installed for tiger surveillance in a no-tourism zone of the Ranthambore Tiger Reserve in Sawaimadhopur district. "We spotted the cubs in an area where the tourists are now allowed. The cubs were with their mother. We have stepped up security and surveillance in the area," said a senior forest department officer. To protect the cubs and ensure that no harm comes their way, the concerned authorities have undertaken various safety measures in and around the areas where the cubs were last spotted.

The team of doctors from Centre and Bihar government is working continuously. The number of deaths has come down. The government is working towards spreading awareness AES." The death toll due to AES epidemic has reached 131 in Bihar's Muzaffarpur district. AES is a viral disease that causes flu-like symptoms such as high fever, vomiting and in extreme cases brain dysfunction.
