Budget only caters to 1% population: Rahul Gandhi

New Delhi, Feb 03 (ANI): Speaking on Union Budget 2021-22, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on February 03 said recent Union Budget, announced by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, support only 1% population of India. Adding on it, he said, "If we want to restart our economy, it will only be through consumption. It is not possible from the supply side." While addressing a press conference in national capital, Rahul said, "I had expected from the Budget that Govt will provide support to 99% of India's population. But this Budget is that of the 1% population. You snatched away money from people in small and medium industry, workers, farmers, Forces and put it in the pockets of 5-10 people." "You talk of privatisation which will benefit them. India needs to put money in the hands of its people. Because if we want to restart our economy, it will only be through consumption. It is not possible from the supply side," he added.

Aero India 2021: Showcasing the country's super-efficient fighter aircraft

At a time when all the major air shows across the world have been postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic, India is hosting the first global air show in the post-Covid era- Aero India 2021. Rakesh Tikait attends 'Mahapanchayat' in Haryana's Jind

Jind (Haryana), Feb 03 (ANI): Bhartiya Kisan Union (Arajnaitik) leader Rakesh Tikait visited Haryana's Jind to attend 'Mahapanchayat' on February 03. The Kisan 'Mahapanchayat' has been called by Kandela Khap president Tek Ram Kandela. Tikait will later address the gathering. Protesting farmers are adamant on their demands of repelling Centre's three farm laws. Rakesh Tikait warned that the protest will not end before October 2021.

Farmers' stir is an experiment': MP Home Minister

Bhopal (MP), Feb 03 (ANI): Amid the ongoing farmers' protest against the farm laws, Madhya Pradesh's Home Minister Narottam Mishra said that the 'farmers' agitation is an experiment'. "Farmers' stir is an experiment. If it's successful, then people will start protests against CAA-NRC, Article 370 and Ram Temple. Nobody has been able to explain 'what's so black about the black laws' (farm laws). These protests are based on assumptions," said MP Home Minister Mishra.

Assam govt pointed out anomalies in implementation process of 1st NRC: Himanta Biswa

Guwahati (Assam), Feb 03 (ANI): Assam government pointed out many anomalies in implementation process of 1st National Register of Citizens, said Transformation and Development Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma. "Citizenship Amendment Act has been passed, rule is yet to be framed. So, it is entirely up to Government of India to frame the rule and modify it. So far as NRC in Assam is concerned, we have already pointed out many anomalies in the implementation process of the first NRC. Our NRC coordinator has already filed an affidavit detailing anomalies and requirement of a re-verification process. Assam NRC issue is basically between judiciary and Assam govt and nothing is to be decided by Govt of India, per se. Our matter is in the court and Assam issue will be independent of what has been stated in the Parliament. Assam issue will be decided by Court, Govt of India and Govt of Assam," said Assam Minister Sarma.

'Deep Sidhu will be traced soon': Special CP (Crime)

New Delhi, Feb 03 (ANI): Speaking to ANI in the national capital on February 03, Special CP (Crime and EOW), of Delhi Police, Praveer Ranjan said, "Crime branch is examining who all were involved in actual violations, including leaders, who had given undertaking for tractor parade on fixed route, didn't abide by it. We are probing role of main leaders in route violations." "There is no coordination issue with Punjab Police, though we haven't been able to arrest Deep Sidhu. Hopefully, he will be traced soon. Be it politicians or their followers, probe will proceed ahead on basis of evidence and action will be taken against them," Special CP (Crime) added.

Spl. Police Commissioner Sanjay Singh praises injured Police personnel

New Delhi, February 3 (ANI): In a programme organized at in outer district of Delhi, Police Commissioner SN Shrivastava met policemen, who sustained injuries during the tractor rally violence on Republic Day. Special commissioner of Police, Western Range, Sanjay Singh was also present at the programme. As many as 144 police personnel of Western range got injured during the clash. Addressing the Police personnel, Special Commissioner Sanjay Singh said, "the tough conditions in which they are performing their duty amidst the farmers protest is commendable."

Rajnath Singh hands over contract of 83 LCA Tejas fighters to HAL

Bengaluru, Feb 03 (ANI): Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has handed over the contract of 83 Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) Tejas fighters to Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL). The Ministry of Defence handed over Tejas fighters to HAL at Aero India show in Bengaluru. Three Mi-17 helicopters took part in the flypast at the inauguration of the Aero India Show-2021 today.
