Mumbai, Nov 20 (ANI): Chhath Puja, this year is being observed across nation under restrictions due to COVID rise. Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) restricted celebrations of Chhath Puja on Mumbai beaches. "There's usually a lot of crowd here on Chhath Puja but because of COVID-19 we're going to celebrate it at home. We support govt's decision," said a local at Juhu beach.

Following the ban, PUBG Corporation had said China's Tencent Games would no longer be authorised to distribute the PUBG MOBILE franchise in India. At that time, PUBG Corporation had said it will take on all publishing responsibilities within India. PUBG Corporation, creator of PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS (PUBG) and a subsidiary of South Korea's KRAFTON, Inc, said the new game has been created specifically for the Indian market. Schools in Mumbai to remain shut till Dec 31: Maharashtra minister

Mumbai, Nov 20 (ANI): Maharashtra government on November 20 announced the decision to extend closure of schools in Mumbai till December 31 as COVID cases in the city are on rise. Maharashtra's School Education Minister Varsha Gaikwad confirmed the news. "Maharashtra government has decided to keep schools shut till December 31," she said. Schools in state that were shut due to COVID pandemic, were set to reopen on Nov 23.

COVID-19: '1,76,36,904 samples tested in UP, highest in country'

Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh), Nov 20 (ANI): Principal Health Secretary of Uttar Pradesh, Amit Mohan Prasad on November 20 said that 1,61,888 COVID-19 samples were tested yesterday, which takes the total number of testing in the state at 1,76,36,904, highest number of testing from other states.

Watch: Malabar war games of four friendly navies that could upset China

The Indian Navy's Vikramaditya carrier battle group, the Nimitz strike group of the US Navy and several frontline warships from the Australian and Japanese navies are carrying out a four-day high-intensity war game in the Northern Arabian Sea as part of the second phase of the Malabar exercise. This exercise involves coordinated operations of increasing complexity among the navies of the four countries which are part of the Quad or Quadrilateral Coalition. The first phase of the Malabar exercise took place in the Bay of Bengal from November 3 to 6 and featured a number of complex drills including anti-submarine and anti-air warfare operations. The mega exercise is taking place at a time India and China are locked in an over six-month-long bitter border standoff in eastern Ladakh that has majorly strained the ties between the two countries.

Global drugmakers Pfizer and BioNTech have said that their Covid-19 vaccine was found 95 per cent effective in the final analysis of the Phase 3 trial, including in people aged over 65 years, paving the way for the companies to apply for emergency authorisation from US regulators within days. Based on current projections, the companies expect to produce globally up to 50 million vaccine doses in 2020 and up to 1.3 billion doses by the end of 2021. Nagrota encounter: 4 terrorists killed, police constable injured
