New Delhi, May 04 (ANI): Vehicles in large numbers were seen at Dwarka-Palam flyover in the national capital amid lockdown on May 04. Delhi government had announced certain relaxations in third phase of lockdown. All districts of Delhi have been categorised into Red zone, despite which traffic was observed on May 04. The nationwide lockdown imposed to combat COVID-19 has been extended till May 17.

3 CRPF personnel lost lives, 7 injured in terrorist attack in Handwara

Handwara (J-K), May 04 (ANI): 3 CRPF personnel have lost their lives, while 7 have been injured in terrorist attack in Handwara. Terrorists attacked CRPF patrol party near Qaziabad area on May 04. One terrorist was neutralised by security forces in retaliation. Area has been cordoned off following the incident. The incident occurred after two days of Handwara encounter between security forces and terrorists. 5security personnel lost their lives in encounter that broke out on May 02 in Handwara.

Relaxation will be revoked if there is violation in lockdown, social distancing norms: CM Kejriwal

New Delhi, May 04 (ANI): Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on May 04 reacted on chaos at some shops. He said that if we come to know about violations of social distancing and other norms from any area, then we will have to seal the area and revoke the relaxations there. "Shop owners will have to take the responsibility, if the norms of social distancing are violated outside a shop then the shop will be shut," added Kejriwal.

Raipur (Chhattisgarh), May 04 (ANI): Social distancing norms went for a toss at liquor stores in Chhattisgarh on May 04. Eager patrons rushed to stores after government announced certain relaxations amid lockdown 3.0. Reacting to today's scenario Chhattisgarh Health Minister TS Singh Deo stated that administration is at fault. "Administration is at fault where norms of lockdown have been flouted. There must be some sort of action to ensure that it does not recur," said TS Singh Deo on crowds outside liquor shops in the state.

112 aspirational districts account for 2 percent of COVID-19 cases: Amitabh Kant

New Delhi, May 04 (ANI): Niti Aayog CEO and Chairman of Empowered Group-6 of the government Amitabh Kant informed about the aspirational districts status on COVID-19 cases. He said that there are about 610 cases of COVID-19 in 112 aspirational districts which is considered fairly low at less than 2 per cent of the national level of infections. "Of these, six districts have reported first case after April 21," he added.

COVID-19: 1,074 people cured in last 24 hours, recovery rate increases to 27.52 percent , informs Health Ministry

New Delhi, May 04 (ANI): Health and Family Welfare Ministry Joint Secretary Lav Agarwal on May 04 informed about the latest status of COVID-19 in the country. He said that till now, 11,706 people have been cured. In the last 24 hours, 1074 people have been cured in the country. "This is the highest number in terms of cured patients noted till date. Our recovery rate is now 27.52 percent . Total number of COVID-19 cases is now 42,533," he added.

Drivers, transporters can lodge complaint on ministry's control room no. 1930 pertaining to lockdown: MHA

New Delhi, May 04 (ANI): Ministry of Home Affairs Joint Secretary (Women Safety) Punya Salila Srivastava on May 4 informed that the Ministry has asked states to ensure that there should not be any issues in interstate cargo movement. The MHA control room number 1930 and NHAI helpline number 1033 may be used by drivers and transporters to lodge any complaint pertaining to lockdown. Lockdown has been extended for two more weeks till May 17.

Need not to pay for special train tickets: CM Nitish Kumar to migrant workers

Patna (Bihar), May 04 (ANI): Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar informed that Bihar migrant labourers need not to pay for the special train tickets. "I want to thank Centre for considering the suggestion to run special trains to send the people of Bihar who are stranded in other states back to Bihar. Nobody will have to pay for the tickets. A quarantine centre has been set up here for them. All of them will be staying at quarantine centre for 21 days. After which they will be given a minimum amount of Rs. 1000 each by Bihar government. Under this scheme, Rs. 1000 has already been given to 19 lakh people in the state," said Kumar.
