"We've to make sure that we remain safe because if our soldiers, sailors and airmen get affected by this virus, how're we going to support our people." he added. Bipin Rawat further said, "This is a time when certain directions have been issued which we have to adhere if we want to fight the menace of COVID-19. Patience and discipline will help us overcome this problem of COVID-19."

Chandigarh, Apr 25 (ANI): Amid nationwide extended lockdown, residents of Chandigarh's Sector 40 took initiative for the safety of their area. The residents are checking temperature of those entering area with thermometer guns and sanitizing their vehicles. According to volunteer Manav Singhla "If anyone's temperature is higher than 99, we test again in 10 minutes. If it remains, we inform COVID helpline."
Bengaluru, Apr 26 (ANI): Bengaluru's Victoria Hospital has deployed a remote controlled medicine trolley in COVID wards. Trolley has been modified to suit requirements of healthcare workers. It can serve food and medicines to patients with the contagion. Over 24,000 cases have been registered in India so far with 474 cases in Karnataka.

The market there witnessed a huge crowd amid Ramzan celebrations. Social distancing norms disappeared in the area. Nationwide lockdown has been extended till May 03 in view of coronavirus threat.
Bhubaneswar (Odisha), Apr 25 (ANI): International coin collector, Debi Prasad Mangaraj, has decided to auction his collection of 2 lakhs old coins for COVID-19 pandemic fund. Mangaraj claimed the value of the coins to be around Rs 250 crore. "I will donate the auction money to Chief Minister and Prime Minister relief fund," said the coin collector Debi Prasad Mangaraj to ANI.
Doda (J and K), Apr 25 (ANI): Jammu and Kashmir Police along with Army personnel on April 24 busted a hideout of terrorists in Gundna forest area of Doda district. Huge cache of arms and ammunition was also recovered. The recovered arms and ammunitions include AK 47 rifles, 2 magazines, Chinese pistol, 3 grenades and bullets. Further investigation in the case is underway.
Manesar (Haryana), Apr 25 (ANI): After high demand, a South Korea's healthcare company, SD Biosensor's has increased manufacturing for rapid antibody test kits for COVID-19 at its Manesar plant. "We have received orders for rapid antibody test kits from Chhattisgarh and Haryana government. Other products are also under evaluation by Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR)," said Manesar's Plant Head of SD Biosensor, Anshul Saraswat.
Udhampur (Jammu and Kashmir), Apr 25 (ANI): The Army, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and police cordoned the Jammu and Kashmir's Udhampur area after suspected movement. However, one hour later the operation was called off. "Based on the general information, a cordon and search operation was launched in Udhampur. It was just a normal cordon and search operation. The operation has now been called off," said Udhampur's SSP Rajiv Pandey.
Chennai, Apr 25 (ANI): Custom officials seized 1.7 kg Cannabis of foreign origin valued at Rs 9 lakh in sleeping bags. The parcel was found in two red colour sleeping bags and one carton box of hand vacuum cleaner. Special alert has been maintained at Foreign Postal Office and Courier Terminal at Chennai. The parcel was consigned to a person based in AP's East Godavari.

"There is a clear directive regarding COVID-19 that there will be no public event. Like earlier festivals the same instructions is for Ramzan that there will be no crowd gathering," said Singh amid nationwide lockdown.
Hoshiarpur (Punjab), Apr 25 (ANI): A saint, Pushpinder Maharaj, in Punjab's Hoshiarpur was attacked by a group of unidentified miscreants on April 23. He has suffered head injury. Speaking to ANI, he said that they were local drug addicts who wanted money, and emphasised that the incident must not be politicised. "The attackers had no sharp weapon; don't think their motive was to kill me. They were local drug addicts who just wanted money. They took away my money and left. This incident must not be politicised," said Pushpinder Maharaj.
Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh), Apr 25 (ANI): Around 2,224 migrant workers arrived in Uttar Pradesh from Haryana on April 25, the state government informed. "2,224 migrant workers from Haryana have arrived in the state today in 82 buses. They will be quarantined before being sent to their respective homes," said Additional Chief Secretary for Home Affairs of Uttar Pradesh.
Rewa (Madhya Pradesh), Apr 25 (ANI): A group of 17 migrant workers are travelling on bicycles in Madhya Pradesh's Rewa towards their native places in West Bengal's Durgapur amid lockdown. "We started our journey yesterday morning from Maihar's Satna and are expecting to reach our homes in next 6-7 days," said a migrant worker. The nation is under lockdown in the wake of cooronavirus pandemic.
Surat (Gujarat), Apr 25 (ANI): The stranded migrant workers in Gujarat are allowed to return back to their hometown but via their own vehicles. Member of Parliament from Gujarat, C R Patil said, "As industries are closed here in the wake of coronavirus pandemic. We had requested Home Minister Amit Shah to give permit to migrant workers to go back to their native places who have their own vehicles." However, those who don't have their own means for transportation has to stay in the state.
Kalimpong (West Bengal), Apr 25 (ANI): An Inter-Ministerial Central Team (IMCT) on April 25 visited the house of a woman who lost her life due to COVID-19 in West Bengal's Kalimpong. Earlier they carried out inspection in coronavirus hotspots in Kolkata. COVID-19 cases in West Bengal have risen to 571 including 18 deaths.

Policemen were seen stopping vehicles to check the travel passes of commuters for essential services. Police personnel are vigilant to restrict unnecessary movement of people to contain the virus. Mandya (Karnataka), Apr 25 (ANI): Karnataka MLC from Janata Dal (Secular), KT Srikantegowda, and his son among others have been booked for staging protesting against COVID-19 tests organised at Ambedkar Bhavan for journalists in Mandya. While talking about the incident, Deputy Commissioner of Mandya, Doctor MV Venkatesh, said, "As per order by Health Department, we were conducting health test of journalists in Mandya, when MLC KT Srikantegowda of JD(S) and locals protested against it. Test of 15 journalists was conducted yesterday and today we did 27 tests." However, later police took accused into the custody. "We have got a written complaint by journalist association about some local residents protesting against the test organised at Ambedkar Bhavan, we will investigate the matter and take action accordingly," Deputy Commissioner further said.
