New Delhi, Jan 16 (ANI): While addressing the Raisina Dialogue 2020 in the national capital, Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Bipin Rawat said that end to terrorism can only happen the way Americans started after 9/11. "We have to bring an end to terrorism and that can only happen the way Americans started after 9/11, they said let's go on a spree on global war on terror. To do that you have to isolate the terrorists, anybody who is sponsoring terrorism has to be taken to task," said CDS.

New Delhi, Jan 16 (ANI): While addressing the Raisina Dialogue 2020 in the national capital, Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Bipin Rawat talked about the functioning of Chief of Defence Staff and called the person in position first among equals. "CDS is the first among equals but he has got clear and well defined responsibilities. While he is the first among equals, he has some authority over the three service chiefs except on operational issues. I think the task is well cut out and we will be able to function within the firm framework which has been laid out for the CDS. I don't visualise any problems. We've had meetings with the 3 chiefs and a lot of decisions have already been taken in past 15 days," said CDS.

Bhind man who makes Rs 6000/month gets tax notice to explain transactions of Rs 132 crore

Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh), Jan 16 (ANI): A resident of Bhind in Madhya Pradesh's Gwalior, Ravi Gupta, who makes Rs 6000 per month, got tax notice to explain transactions of Rs 132 crore in his name. The transactions were done from an account opened on his name in Axis Bank. Gupta called it a forge account and reportedly he makes just Rs 6,000 per month. Speaking on it, Gupta said, "This matter was reported by Axis Bank. The account was opened in 2011 in Mumbai branch and there were transactions of Rs 132 crore in this and in relation with it, the Income Tax Department had sent me notices several times. Income tax (department) is demanding Rs 3.5 crores. The bank account is not opened by me. Somebody else has opened this account or maybe Axis bank has opened it on their own." Madurai (Tamil Nadu), Jan 16 (ANI): People gathered in Tamil Nadu's Madurai to participate in the traditional bull-taming sport 'Jallikattu'. Spectators were seen cheering for the bull tamers in Palamedu village on January 16. 700 bulls are participating in Jallikattu competitions in Palamedu this year. Jallikattu competitions will be held till January 31 in Madurai district. The Supreme Court (SC) in 2014 had banned 'Jallikattu' after a plea was filed by the Animal Welfare Board of India and People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) but the state government insisted Jallikattu was a crucial part of its culture and identity. The ban was later lifted in January 2017 with an amendment due to massive protests along the Marina beach in Chennai.

Google lets you use iPhone as physical security key for 2FA

New Delhi, Jan 16 (ANI): Google Smart Lock app on the iOS has received a new update that allows you to use you iPhone as physical two-factor authentication (2FA) security key. With version 1.6, you can set your phone's built-in security key for your Google Account. As The Verge notes, once you set up your iPhone, attempting to log into a Google service on a different device will send a push notification to the nearby iPhone. Once you authenticate, the login process is completed on the other device. This feature had been already available for Android phone owners.
