Mandsaur (MP), Jan 07 (ANI): A man was allegedly stripped naked and thrashed on suspicion of stealing garlic from a wholesale vegetable market in Mandsaur. A police official said, "This is a very serious matter, we have begun investigation and the culprits who are seen in the video will be acted against."
Mumbai, Jan 07 (ANI): Speaking to ANI, Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut asserted that if anyone talks of freedom of Kashmir from India then it will not be tolerated. "I read in newspaper that those who held 'free Kashmir' banner clarified that they want to be free of restrictions on internet services, mobile services and other issues. New Delhi, Jan 07 (ANI): Equity benchmark indices rebounded during early hours on Tuesday in line with Asian markets with no new escalation in the Middle East. At 10:15 am, the BSE SandP Sensex gained by 467 points to 41,143 while the Nifty 50 edged higher by 131 points at 12,124. Ebb in global crude oil prices and rupee's rise against the US dollar also influenced the market mood. All sectoral indices were in the positive zone except for Nifty IT which slipped slightly by 0.11 per cent.

Bijnor (Uttar Pradesh), Jan 07 (ANI): A leopard was allegedly shot dead by villagers after it killed a child. The incident happened in UP's Bijnor on Jan 06. District Magistrate of Bijnor, Ramakant Pandey said, "Leopard was frequently attacking humans and had turned into man eater. Its carcass has been sent for post mortem. Child's family will be given an ex gratia of Rs 5 lakhs."

A beauty pageant was organised on the conclusion day where contestants from all over the country participated. The winner, runner-up and second runner-up were announced in the finale of pageant and they cut the cake to express their joy. Winner of Winter Queen Manali 2020, Gunjan Saklani said, "Contestants from all over the country participated in the pageant. The competition was tough but after it I would like to try for Miss India contest to make my country proud." Mumbai, Jan 07 (ANI): Demonstrators staged protest against JNU violence in Mumbai. DCP (Zone 1) of Mumbai, Sangramsingh Nishandar appealed the protestors at Gateway of India to relocate at Azad Maidan. But protestors did not listen to his appeal. Later, police evicted protesters at Gateway of India and relocated them to Azad Maidan. Speaking on it, DCP (Zone 1) of Mumbai Sangramsingh Nishandar said, "We asked them to maintain peace but when the protest led to blockage of roads and common Mumbaikers and tourists started facing problems due to them, we appealed them so many times to relocate. But they did not listen to us and that is why we re-located them."

Several students from different education institutions and people raised their voice in support of JNU students against the violence at the campus. Violence broke out inside JNU campus on Jan 05 evening in which more than 30 people were injured.
Agra (UP), Jan 07 (ANI): Posters have been put up around the Taj Mahal complex to make people aware that monument is 'no-drone zone' area. The Uttar Pradesh Police took cognizance and put posters to aware foreigners as well as Indian tourists to restrict them from flying of drones near the Taj Mahal. Additional SP police of Agra, Botre Rohan Pramod said that "We have received complaints that tourists use drones to capture top view of Taj Mahal." Police took the action in the wake of incidents of drones being spotted in the no-flying zone around the Taj Mahal.

The teaser confirms Intel's plans of building a tiny modular desktop gaming PC that lets you swap out the CPU, GPU, memory, storage, and ports easily, The Verge reports. The resulting computer would be just 5 litres in volume. Intel says the modular, mini PC will support up to Intel's H-series Core i9 processors. Kochi (Kerala), Jan 07 (ANI): Residents living near Maradu apartment complex have started vacating their homes as they are scared of demolition. "Unhappy New Year" and "God save my house" are painted painted on walls. One of the residents said that his house will be destroyed when demolition takes place. Officials have said that "steps have been taken for safe demolition". "We're adopting implosion technology. Bhubaneswar (Odisha), Jan 06 (ANI): Reacting to the attack on JNU students inside the university premises by masked goons on January 05, Union Human Resource Development (HRD) Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal on January 06 said the universities are meant for education and he will not let them become an "adda" of politics. "Universities are meant for education and should never be made a political base. Action will be taken against those who will be found guilty. Will never let universities become "adda" for politics," Pokhriyal told reporters in Bhubaneswar.
