Uttarkashi (Uttarakhand), Aug 19 (ANI): Uttarakhand have been witnessing heavy rainfall in the past couple of days causing rivers to flow near or above the danger levels. Meanwhile, on Sunday, a cloudburst took place in Uttarkashi's Mori Tehsil region due to which the Tons river, which passes through the state, is overflowing creating trouble for locals. Due to the cloudburst, several people have been stranded at various places in the area. The government has dispatched teams of Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) to carry out rescue and evacuation operations. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted widespread rainfall over the next three days in Uttarkashi.
Patna (Bihar), Aug 19 (ANI): Independent MLA Anant Singh, who is facing heat after recovery of prohibited weapons from his residence has denied being afraid of arrest stating that he would be surrendering in next few days. While speaking to mediaperson, he said, "I'm not scared of being arrested. I'll surrender in next 3-4 days. I haven't been to that house in last 14 yrs so there's no question of keeping AK-47 there." Earlier, the police officials had raided Singh's premises in connection with a contract killing case. During the raid, the police recovered an AK-47 rifle and a hand grenade from his residence in Ladma village.
Surajpur (Chhattisgarh), Aug 19 (ANI): A couple in Chhattisgarh's Pratappur village alleged that their child died during delivery due to the negligence of a hospital nurse.The woman, Lakshmi, said that her husband was taking her to a local hospital here when the ambulance driver suggested them to get their child delivered at Nurse Shivkumari Jaiswal's residence. "During the delivery, the hand of the child came out. The nurse tried to push the hand inside. Later, when we reached another hospital, the child was born dead," said Lakshmi. However, Shivkumari Jaiswal has denied any involvement in Lakshmi's delivery and said that she was not working on the day the incident took place.

Leh (Ladakh), Aug 19 (ANI): The mysterious Magnetic Hill in Ladakh - the phenomenon that defines gravity - is one of the centres of attraction in the region. At this place, also known as Gravity Hill, cars move with a speed of 20-30 km even on neutral gear. It is believed that some magnetic forces makes this happen. This might be termed as a result of gravitational force. Whatever it may be, it excites tourists to great extent. While speaking to ANI, a tourist from Canada said, "Some gravitational force is active which drives or pull the vehicles, but it's a cool place." New Delhi, Aug 19 (ANI): YouTube has announced that its original series, movies, and events all part of the YouTube Originals section will be free to watch starting September 24 this year. On the official support page, YouTube said that some original content will be available for viewing without a YouTube Premium subscription, albeit supported with ads and only select episodes may be available for streaming at any time. YouTube Premium members will still continue to enjoy perks including ad-free viewing, access to all available episodes in a series when they premiere, offline viewing support, and access to bonus content.
New Delhi, Aug 19 (ANI): Researchers have found that silent covert strokes are more common than overt strokes in people aged 65 or older who have surgery. While an overt stroke causes obvious symptoms, such as weakness in one arm or speech problems that last more than a day, a covert stroke is not obvious except on brain scans, such as MRI. Each year, approximately 0.5 per cent of the 50 million people age 65 years or greater worldwide who have major, non-cardiac surgery will suffer an overt stroke, but until now little was known about the incidence or impacts of silent stroke after surgery, reported the study published in the journal, 'The Lancet.' Dr Devereaux and his team found that one in 14 people over age 65 who had elective, non-cardiac surgery had a silent stroke, suggesting that as many as three million people in this age category globally suffer a covert stroke after surgery each year. Mumbai, Aug 19 (ANI): Guinness Book of World Records holder Chinmay Prabhu made another world record of solving pyraminx (pyramid-shaped rubik's cube) puzzles while riding a bicycle on Sunday. Prabhu solved 176 pyraminx puzzles in one hour and seven minutes to set the new world record under his name. He broke the record of solving 111 pyraminx puzzles. "So the target was 111 cubes to be solved while riding a bicycle. In one hour and seven minutes, I solved 176 pyraminx puzzles while riding the bicycle. For this, I practiced for a couple of months at Goregaon Sports Club," Prabhu told ANI. Earlier, he had the Guinness record for solving pyraminx puzzles underwater. He also registered his name in the Limca Book of Records for solving mirror cube blindfolded.
Arrah (Bihar), Aug 18 (ANI): Two men including National Students' Union of India (NSUI) district president of Arrah suffered injuries after they were shot at by bike-borne assailants on Sunday morning. The victim is identified as 25- year-old Manish Kumar Singh, who is NSUI district president of Arrah along with his friends Appu Singh and Om Singh were going to Nawada police station when the armed assailants started firing. Om, somehow, escaped the incident while two others sustained injuries. On getting the information of the case, the officials of Nawada Police Station reached the spot. Both injured have been admitted to a hospital for treatment, and their condition is said to be critical now.
Jaipur (Rajasthan), Aug 18 (ANI): Rajasthan Chief Minister and Congress leader Ashok Gehlot said that the accused in Pehlu Khan mob lynching case 2017 were acquitted because of negligence from previous Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government in the state. Mandi (HP), Aug 18 (ANI): Due to continuous rain in Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh, the parking area of Panchvaktra temple has been submerged due to which a vehicle got stuck in the water-logging area. In the hilly state of Himachal Pradesh, torrential rains have wreaked havoc. So far, more than 10 people have died due to heavy rains in the state. Heavy landslide was reported in capital Shimla. Cloudburst was also reported in many places in Himachal Pradesh. A warning of heavy rains has been issued in the state for the next 24 hours. There is a red alert in six districts.

"Because we have to main law and order, as an essential preventive measure we had to reduce the communication channels so that it were not put to misuse. He said, "When government does something right I support them. Many of my colleagues opposed the decision to abrogate Article 370. My party has lost its way, it's not the same Congress it used to be. When it comes to patriotism and self-respect, I'll not compromise with anyone." He further added, "I support the decision to abrogate Article 370 but I want to tell Haryana Government that you will have to give an account of what you did in 5 years, don't hide behind this decision.
