Aurangabad (Maharashtra), May 06 (ANI): A fire broke out at an oil godown in Aurangabad on May 05. The fire was later brought under control and extinguished with the help of around 10 fire tenders. No casualties were reported.
New Delhi, May 06 (ANI): Apple's seventh-generation iPad with 32GB storage is now available at USD 250 at a couple of retailers including Amazon and Best Buy. The version of the iPad which was originally priced at USD 330 is quite similar to Apple's sixth-generation model. According to The Verge, it has the same A10 processor, but its screen size has increased from 9.7 inches to 10.2 inches. New Delhi, May 06 (ANI): Researchers have found that the immune responses of a female mouse before pregnancy can predict how likely her offspring are to have behavioural deficits if the immune system is activated during pregnancy. The study results could help resolve what role serious infections during pregnancy play in the later development of conditions such as autism and schizophrenia in offspring. Both genetics and a variety of environmental risk factors are thought to play a role in mental illness, said Professor Kim McAllister, director of the Center for Neuroscience and senior author on the paper. Most pregnancies are resilient, she said. Although the risk from maternal immune activation is low, it could provide a way into the underlying problems that lead to schizophrenia or autism.
Ranchi (Jharkhand), May 06 (ANI): Nepal has sent monitory assistance to its country's citizens living in Jharkhand's Ranchi amid the coronavirus lockdown. Food material, worth Rs 1.20 lakh sent by Nepal government, and cash was distributed yesterday among people of Nepal who reside and work in Ranchi. Most of the Nepali diaspora work in Ranchi as watchmen or in hotels, and were facing problems since the imposition of lockdown. "I had spoken to Nepal government day before yesterday. They sent the money in my account yesterday. I shopped for all the food material, called up these people and gave it to them. Also giving them Rs 500-1000 cash," said Suman Bhandari, one of the Nepali citizen working in Ranchi.
Mumbai, May 05 (ANI): As the reopening of liquor shops in some parts of the country created chaos, actor Randeep Hooda on Tuesday created a meme on the re-opening with one of his looks from his latest film 'Extraction'. Hooda who made his Netflix debut with the film 'Extraction' took to Instagram to share a still from the film in which he is seen standing with his left hand fractured and a visible injury on his right hand. Hooda looked exhausted from the action sequences of the film in the picture. The 'Highway' actor related his exhausted look to the look of people who successfully return from liquor shops after buying alcohol which seems a daunting task given the congestion of people at the shops. Long queues and crowds were seen at liquor shops across the country on Tuesday despite a 70 percent tax hike imposed by the Delhi government on the Maximum Retail Price (MRP) of liquor.
Jodhpur (Rajasthan), May 05 (ANI): A pregnant woman gave birth in an SUV after her car broke down on the way to hospital. Jodhpur cops helped the woman in delivery. Mother and child were later admitted to the hospital. "Police officials helped the woman in delivery after the vehicle she was travelling broke down. Medical team was also called immediately at the spot," said Priti Chandra, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) West.

New Delhi, May 05 (ANI): Reviewing the situation of stranded Indians in foreign countries, Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri informed that 64 flights will be operated in the first week to bring stranded people from different countries during May 7 to May 13. "The 64 flights include-UAE- 10 flights, Qatar- 2, Saudi Arabia- 5, UK- 7, Singapore- 5, United States-7, Philippines- 5, Bangladesh- 7, Bahrain - 2, Malaysia-7, Kuwait-5, and Oman-2," said Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri.

New Delhi, May 05 (ANI): Reviewing coronavirus situation in the country, Health Ministry informed that India saw the highest single-day spike so far, with 3,900 new cases and 195 deaths in last 24 hours. "Total number of positive cases of COVID-19 is 46,433. In last 24 hours there have been 3,900 new cases, 195 deaths and 1,020 people have recovered. The recovery rate is 27.41%," said Lav Aggarwal. "We persuaded certain states as we were not receiving reports of cases/deaths on time from them, after which the cases have been reported and we have seen spike in death cases today," he further informed.
