IAF helicopter showered flowers on All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Patna to express gratitude and appreciation towards health workers fighting COVID-19. IAF chopper also showered flower petals on Gandhi Hospital in Hyderabad to honour COVID warriors. Medical personnel are working tirelessly round the clock in treating coronavirus patients all across the country.
On board, May 03 (ANI): Indian Navy gave grand salute to Corona warriors standing against the pandemic. Indian Navy personnel at INS Hansa, Goa, expressed their appreciation by forming a human chain and thanked the corona warriors.
New Delhi, May 03 (ANI): Union health Minister, Dr Harsh Vardhan informed that more than 10,000 COVID-19 patients were discharged till May 03 across the nation. While talking to ANI, Harsh Vardhan said, "Today, more than 10,000 COVID-19 patients have been discharged. Those still admitted at hospitals are on the road to recovery. If in last 14 days doubling rate was 10.5 days, then today it's around 12 days." "At least 18 health care workers got infected from coronavirus at Lady Hardinge Medical College's," the Minister further added. Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare Dr Harsh Vardhan has visited Lady Hardinge Hospital in view of coronavirus pandemic. According to Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, 2,644 new COVID-19 positive cases and 83 deaths have been reported in the last 24 hours.
New Delhi, May 03 (ANI): CRPF Headquarters in Delhi has been sealed for sanitisation till further orders after a staff of one of the top officers of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) tested COVID-19 positive. No one will be allowed to enter the building. Total 40 officers and staff including a Special Director General rank officer, Deputy Inspector General to be home quarantined.

Chandigarh, May 03 (ANI): Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) Director Dr Jagat Ram informed that the trial of Mycobacterium w (Mw) drug has been completed. "The safety trial of 'Mw vaccine' drug has been completed. But its actual trial will be conducted on 40 patients at PGI Chandigarh, AIIMS-Delhi and AIIMS-Bhopal," said Dr Ram.

New Delhi, Apr 03 (ANI): Delhi's Health Minister Satyendar Jain informed that COVID-19 doubling rate is 12. "Doubling rate of Delhi is 12 and the country's doubling rate is 11. Earlier, we face difficulties with the NIB Noida lab which was functioning under the central government and that has been resolved. 58,210 tests have been conducted in total in Delhi. The contained zone should not be considered a 'Green Zone' until and unless zero cases are reported from there for 21 days. We want relaxation of restriction in area that are not contained," said Satyendar Jain

Handwara (Jammu and Kashmir), May 03 (ANI): 4 Army jawans, 1 J-K police personnel lost their lives in an encounter in Handwara area of Jammu and Kashmir's Kupwara district on May 02. 4 Indian Army personnel including the Commanding Officer, Major of 21 Rashtriya Rifles unit along with 2 soldiers and one Jammu and Kashmir Police jawan lost their lives. Two terrorists were also killed in an exchange of fire. The encounter was started between security forces and militants at Chanjmullah area of Handwara.
