Srinagar (Jammu and Kashmir), May 03 (ANI): Indian Air Force's flypast over Dal Lake in Srinagar and paid tribute to medical professionals and all other frontline workers in the view of coronavirus pandemic. Nation will witness flypasts by fighter jets and transport aircraft of Indian Air Force at multiple locations. These aircrafts will cover major towns starting from Srinagar to Thiruvananthapuram and from Dibrugarh to Kutch.IAF (Indian Air Force) and Indian Navy will fly over hospitals treating corona patients in the cities across the country and will shower petals as a tribute to the efforts and sacrifices of Corona warriors.
Faridabad (Haryana), May 03 (ANI): Tightened security at the border areas of Delhi is in place amid the COVID-19 lockdown. Security personnel were seen conducting routine checking at Delhi-Faridabad border. Entry and exit point of the border are under strict surveillance as Haryana borders with Delhi are sealed. Total 3738 confirmed COVID-19 cases have been reported in Delhi with 61 deaths so far.
Ayodhya (Uttar Pradesh), May 03 (ANI): Amid the outbreak of coronavirus pandemic, priests and other devotees celebrated 'Janaki Janamotsav'- birth of Sita in UP's Ayodhaya. Social distancing was observed during the celebrations. Temples and other religious places are closed in the wake of pandemic. However, priests of the temples are allowed to perform daily rituals.
Prayagraj (UP), May 03 (ANI): Train carrying Army jawans from Jabalpur Railway Station to Jammu reached Prayagraj Junction for sanitization on May 03. Social distancing was observed at the railway premises to contain the spread of COVID-19. After train got sanitized, it departed for Jammu. Several special trains from different parts of the country have been started after government orders.
New Delhi, May 03 (ANI): People queue outside the wholesale fruit and vegetable market in Ghazipur amid coronavirus lockdown on May 03. People were seen following social distancing norms at the market. While talking about the arrangements made at the market, DCP Delhi (East), Jasmeet Singh said, "Footfall has increased here as several other markets have closed. We've set up channelizers and people are being sent inside through them. Separate lanes have been made for cycle carts and mini-trucks. Due to these measures, the situation has improved". Till now, Delhi has recorded over 3700 positive cases of COVID-19.
Lucknow (UP), May 03 (ANI): Migrant labourers arrived at Lucknow's Charbagh Railway Station on May 03 by 'Shramik Special' train. The train carried over 800 stranded labourers from Maharashtra's Nashik after the Centre's decision to run special trains for them. Several trains from different parts of the country have been started to make sure migrant labourers reach their home safely.
Islamabad (Pakistan), May 02 (ANI): Pashtun Tahafuz Movement (PTM) leader Arif Wazir died on Saturday in a hospital here after he sustained bullet injuries. Wazir, who got out from jail on bail around a month back, got injured after unidentified persons opened fire at him on Friday night near his house in Wana in South Waziristan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, Dawn reported. Soon after the shooting, Wazir was rushed to a nearby hospital. Later, he was shifted to an Islamabad hospital. Wazir's cousin, Muhammad Ali Wazir in a statement said that he had received three bullet injuries in his body, The News International reported. The police have registered an FIR at Wana police station. Back in 2017, seven members of Wazir's family were killed in a clash with militants near Wana. Meanwhile, the Amnesty International on Saturday said the authorities must carry out an effective probe into the attack on Arif Wazir and suspected perpetrators must be held accountable. East Midnapur (WB), May 02(ANI): Amid corona outbreak and nationwide lockdown, recovery of 153 crude bombs spread panic in Lalpur village Bhagabanpur area. The bombs were found beside a local resident's house. The police recovered the bombs and were disposed off by the bomb squad. SK Kasemuddin, a local resident, was arrested by the police and was sent before Contai court. He was sent to 14 days police custody.
Thiruvananthapuram/Thane, May 02(ANI): Indian Coast Guard and Indian Navy conducted rehearsals of the armed forces on May 02 to show gratitude to covid-19 warriors in Kerala and Mumbai. The armed forces will express their gratitude to all "corona warriors" by conducting fly-pasts, showering petals on hospitals treating COVID-19 patients and illuminating naval vessels on May 03. The thanks giving activities will start with laying of wreaths at the police memorial in Delhi and in several other cities to honour the police personnel deployed across the country to enforce lockdown. Ahmedabad (Gujarat), May 02(ANI): A special train carrying migrant workers left from Sabarmati in Ahmedabad for Agra in Uttar Pradesh amid coronavirus lockdown. 1200 migrant workers were sent to their home town through the train having a capacity of 2,400 people on May 02. Gujarat Home Minister, Pradipsinh Jadeja said, "The train will cover 900 km in 15-16 hours, the train has a capacity of 2400 people and 1200 migrant labourers are being sent to their home town today."
Chandigarh, May 02 (ANI): Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on May 2 blamed three factors for the increase of COVID-19 patients in the state. He said that the numbers of COVID-19 patients wouldn't have increased in Haryana, if Tablighi Jamaat, and pilgrims from Nanded Sahib incidents didn't happen. He also blamed people of Delhi, who frequently visited Haryana.
Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh), May 02 (ANI): The nationwide lockdown in the wake of coronavirus pandemic has badly impacted betel leaf farmers of Uttar Pradesh's Lucknow. A betel leaf farmers from Lucknow's Nigoha area, Aashish Chaurasiya said, "No one is thinking about betel leaf growers, we are facing trouble to earn our livelihood. Betel leaves are decaying in the field."The farmers are forced to dump the betel leaves as it doesn't have longer life, the nation is under lockdown since March 24 in the wake of coronavirus pandemic. The centre has extended the lockdown till May 17. The farmers urged government to give them some relief so that they can earn their livelihood.

Budgam (J and K), May 02(ANI): The Indian Army along with civil administration of Srinagar have established a COVID-19 health care centre for the people of Kashmir. The health care centre has the capacity to hold 250 COVID-19 patients. The centre has been divided into two parts, one for suspected patients and the other half for confirmed cases of COVID-19. Out of 250 beds, which have been provided, 70-80 beds are dedicated for females. 14 beds have been set up in the ICU while 30 beds in high density unit for patients who need acute care. Srinagar Army official said, "No stones have been left unturned to provide maximum possible cooperation to the people of the Valley."

Yesterday, CDS General Bipin Rawat informed that Indian Army with IAF and Indian Navy will pay tribute to fronline warriors of COVID-19 by a flypast during which the aircrafts will shower flower petals at some hospitals.
