Mangaluru (Karnataka), Apr 30 (ANI): Karnataka has launched Mobile Fever Clinic in Mangaluru in the wake of coronavirus pandemic. For that State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) has converted one of their buses into a Mobile Fever Clinic. The bus was flagged off on April 29. There are two compartments in the clinic, one for doctors and another for patients who visit the clinic for testing. The patients will be screened for fever, cold, cough and BP. The mobile clinic will have doctors, nursing staff and assistants. Doctors will interact with patients through speakers here.
Anantapur (AP), Apr 30 (ANI): Heavy rains accompanied by strong winds have resulted in the damage of banana crop plantations in Andhara Pradesh's Anantapur. Heavy rains lashed Kuchivaripalli village of Yellanur mandal, Anantapur district on April 28 and caused widespread to banana plantation. The banana farmers were already facing crisis and were not in the condition to sell their produce due to the nationwide lockdown imposed to curb coronavirus. Around 100 acres of banana plantations were damaged in the Anantapur district.

The lockdown has been extended till May 03 to curb the spread of coronavirus. Karnataka has reported a total of 532 cases of COVID-19, including 20 deaths.
Rajkot (Gujarat), Apr 30 (ANI): A farmer's yield had gone to waste as there no one to buy his crop. The farmer has faced huge losses due to the lockdown situation in the wake of coronavirus. Mavji Bhai, the farmer from Gujarat's Rajkot said, "Nobody is buying our flowers. All the yield is getting waste. The government should announce a relief package and help us." The farmer urged the government to help him.
Durgapur (West Bengal), Apr 30 (ANI): At a time when doctors and other health care staff at hospitals are prone to coronavirus infection, a robotic device in West Bengal comes to their rescue. CSIR- Central Mechanical Engineering Research Institute has developed low-cost robotic device to mitigate the risk. The robotic device can also collect test samples and deliver medicines to patients. The device also has a video conferencing for contactless monitoring of admitted COVID-19 patients.
Ranchi (Jharkhand), Apr 30 (ANI): After MHA guidelines on inter-state movement, Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren informed that nodal officers have been appointed to prepare a work plan for return of stranded labourers and students amid lockdown over COVID-19 situation. He also thanked Prime Minister Modi for allowing movement of students and labourers.

Gurugram (Haryana), Apr 29(ANI): CSIR-IIIM Director and coordinator of trial programme for use of Sepsivac in COVID-19 treatment, Dr. Ram Vishwakarma said that Clinical trial has begun at PGIMER Chandigarh to position immunomodulator Sepsivac as a drug. "We're doing another trial on asymptomatic COVID-19 patients. It'll be given to them as vaccine," he added.

"If it works, it will take at least 3 months to be available for COVID-19 treatment, but we will still need other medicines," he said. "It is not a game changer, it is not a permanent solution but it will definitely protect people from going on ventilator," Dr. Ram Vishwakarma added.
Sangareddy (Telangana), Apr 29(ANI): Amid nationwide lockdown, over 2000 migrant workers staged protest at IIT Hyderabad demanding to send them back to their states. They also pelted stones on police team deployed there in which one cop received minor injuries and the police vehicle was also damaged. Immediately more teams were called in and situation was taken into control. The migrant labours were not getting salaries from last three months from their contractor and they were struck here since lockdown. They demanded to send them back to their state which is not possible at this time. Few of them along with contractor were taken to Sangareddy district Collector office to solve their problems. The contractor has promised to pay them pending salaries including the salary of April month and the higher officials have also promised them to make all arrangements for their stay and food till lockdown ends.
Patna, Apr 29 (ANI): Bihar Legislative Council Member, Sanjay Paswan requested Chief Minister Nitish Kumar to bring back children from Kota and Pune amid lockdown. He said, "It is Chief Minister's duty to bring back our children. It's also causing us political loss. He should bring all children before May 03. Election is going to be held this year. Almost all middle class families have at least 1 child studying in Kota. Number of children may only be 1000 but 1 Lakh families are affected due to it, they have sympathy for these children. If 1 Lakh families have 5 voters each, 5 Lakh votes will be affected. So, I request the Chief Minister to bring back our children from Kota and Pune."
Lucknow (UP), Apr 29 (ANI): Uttar Pradesh's Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Minister Sidharth Nath Singh informed that the state government held video-conferencing with over 100 US companies to bring significant investment to India to Uttar Pradesh after they are walking out of China. "US has significant investment in China. PM and CM want to use the opportunity where industries are moving out of China, and see how they can be brought to India, to UP. Video-conferencing was held with over 100 American companies yesterday, in a webinar. They've shown interest, companies including big names from logistics, scientific instrumentation, electronic and automobile industries. They already have investments in China. I am hopeful we will be able to bring them to UP, given how we are working by making changes in our industrial and sectorial policy," said Singh.
New Delhi, Apr 29 (ANI): The Health minister of Delhi, Satyendar Jain said that according to new protocol, 'asymptomatic' patients of COVID-19 do not have to go to hospital, and can be treated in home isolation. "According to new protocol those who are 'asymptomatic' do not have to go to hospital. They can be treated in home isolation," said the Health Minister. Total number of 3314 cases has been reported in Delhi so far. 32% of total numbers of patients cured from COVID-19 in the national capital. The Health minister also talked about plasma therapy, and said that medical institutions should not do plasma therapy without permission.

All the precautionary measures are being taken." 11 traders associated with Delhi's Azadpur Sabzi Mandi have tested positive for coronavirus on April 29. The authorities are tracing the contacts of the cases. However, according to District Magistrate (North) Deepak Shinde, "The cases are not directly connected to the mandi."
Mumbai, Apr 29 (ANI): Equity benchmark indices were in the positive terrain during early hours on Wednesday as Asian markets treaded cautiously ahead of the US Federal Reserve policy decision. Oil prices, meanwhile, jumped on hopes that demand will pick up as many countries lift some of the coronavirus-related restrictions. At 10:15 am, the BSE SandP Sensex was up by 268 points or 0.83 per cent at 32,383 while the Nifty 50 edged higher by 82 points or 0.88 per cent at 9,463. All sectoral indices at the National Stock Exchange were in the green with Nifty metal up by 2.2 per cent, realty by 1.3 per cent and PSU bank by 1.2 per cent. Among stocks, home loan lender HDFC moved up by 4.1 per cent at Rs 1,786.50 per share while Bajaj Finance gained by 3.8 per cent. Metal majors JSW Steel, Hindalco and Vedanta ticked up by 2.9 per cent, 2.8 per cent and 2 per cent respectively.

"I was taken aback by Rahul Gandhi's comment that Modi govt has waived off Rs 65,000 Crore. Not a single penny has been waived off. Writing off isn't waiving off. Rahul Gandhi must take tuition from Chidambaram to understand difference between writing off and waiving off. Writing off is process to show depositors correct pictures of bank. It doesn't stop banks from taking actions and pursuing recovery. We've seen how Nirav Modi's assets are seized and auctioned. Mallya left with no choice but to come back as his appeal in HC has been rejected," said Javadekar on Rahul Gandhi's comment.
