New Delhi, Apr 23 (ANI): Some 400 migrant workers, who stuck during the nationwide lockdown amid COVID-19 outbreak, have taken shelter at Radha Soami Satsang Beas Ashram in Bhati Mines in New Delhi. The Ashram, with the help of local administration has made proper arrangement of their stay, including food. Beds are arranged for these migrant workers under huge sheds by maintaining social distancing. The migrant workers hail from Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and other states. Radha Soami Satsang Beas has a modern and clean community kitchen, where hygiene and healthy food is prepared three times a day. The food is served to stranded migrant workers by maintaining social distancing. The Radha Soami Satsang Beas also prepares food packets for distribution. New Delhi, Apr 23 (ANI): Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) has said that for now, it is very difficult to tell when peak state of COVID-19 pandemic in the country will arrive. "It is very difficult to tell that peak will arrive by May 3rd or when it will come. But it is very stable. Positivity rate has been 4.5% throughout; one can say we have been able to flatten the curve. However, difficult to predict it (peak)," said Director General of ICMR, Dr Balram Bhargava.
New Delhi, Apr 23 (ANI): The central government on April 23 clarified that in-house care-givers of senior citizens and prepaid mobile recharge utilities are exempted from lockdown restrictions. While addressing a press conference, Punya Salila Srivastava, Joint Secretary of Ministry of Home Affairs said, "Home Ministry has clarified to states that in-house care-givers of senior citizens, prepaid mobile recharge utilities and food processing units in urban areas are exempted from lockdown restrictions."
New Delhi, Apr 23 (ANI): While addressing a press conference in Delhi, AIIMS Director of Delhi, Randeep Guleria, on Friday said at various centres, government has started using convalescent plasma therapy that is using the blood of COVID-19 patients who have recovered. "A large number of patients who have become alright have come forward and volunteered to donate their blood," he added.
New Delhi, Apr 23 (ANI): The central government on April 23 informed that more than 5 lakh tests have been conducted across the nation till April 22. CK Mishra, Secretary in the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, said, "On March 23 we have done 14,915 tests across the country and on April 22 we have done more than 5 lakh tests." "If a rough calculation is done it is about 33 times in 30 days. This is not enough and we need to ramp testing in this country," the Environment Secretary further added. CK Mishra is also Chairman of Empowered Group-2. The government has created 11 empowered groups for guidance in the wake of pandemic coronavirus. The Empowered Group-2 is taking care of availability of hospitals, quarantine and isolation facilities, disease surveillance and testing.

He said this while referring to recent arrest of top JuD leader Syed Sameer Bukhari from Bagh city of PoK for running a sex racket in Pakistan occupied Kashmir. "48 people have died, 24 are in ICU and 6 are on ventilators," Health Minister added. Delhi Health Minister on a COVID-19 patient's allegation that LNJP hospital isn't admitting him for immediate treatment said that according to the guidelines issued by the central government, the state government has made 3 kinds of centres, COVID care centre, dedicated health centre, and dedicated hospital. He said that depending on the magnitude of the disease, you are admitted in the respective centres. "LNJP comes under dedicated hospital, which is for severe case patients," Jain added.

Amroha (UP), Apr 23 (ANI): One cow smuggler got injured in an encounter that broke out between police and cow smugglers at Naugawan Sadat. He was admitted to a nearby hospital. Amroha SP, Vipin Tanda said, "Naugawan police got information about the cow smuggling in the jungle, police came in action and during the clash one smuggler got injured. He has been admitted in the hospital." He further said that investigation is underway.

New Delhi, Apr 23 (ANI): Equity benchmark indices were in the positive zone during early hours on Thursday as Asian shares rose with a rebound in crude prices from historic lows. At 10:15 am, the BSE S-P Sensex was up by 201 points or 0.64 per cent at 31,581 while the Nifty 50 edged higher by 76 points or 0.83 per cent at 9,264. Except for Nifty auto, all sectoral indices at the National Stock Exchange were in the green with thin margins. Among stocks, Zee Entertainment jumped by 7.6 per cent to Rs 163.40 per share after Florida Retirement System (FRS) reportedly bought over half a per cent stake in the company a day earlier.
