New Delhi, Apr 03 (ANI): President Ram Nath Kovind, along with Vice President Venkaiah Naidu on April 3 interacted with the Governors, Lieutenant Governors and administrators of all states and union territories via video-conferencing today to discuss measures to combat against COVID-19.
New Delhi, Apr 03(ANI): Health Ministry, Joint Secretary Lav Agarwal confirmed 2301 coronavirus cases in the country along with 56 deaths so far. He said, "From yesterday till today, 336 additional cases of COVID-19 have come before us. Total confirmed cases are 2301, and 56 deaths have been reported so far. 12 of these 56 deaths were reported yesterday." Lav Agarwal also updated that total of 157 patients have been recovered from COVID-19 impact.
Ahmedabad (Gujarat), Apr 03 (ANI): Amid 21 days lockdown, Gujarat Police have came up with an innovative concept of entertaining people, who cannot come out of their homes. Police are also using the platform to spread COVID-19 awareness among people. This initiative is taken by police in Vastrapur area of Ahmedabad. The total number of COVID-19 cases in the state is over 90. The state government is doing every bit to stop the infection of the dreadful virus.
New Delhi, Apr 03(ANI): Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal informed that so far 384 coronavirus positive cases have been found in Delhi. "There has been a rise of 91 cases in the last 24 hours," said CM Arvind Kejriwal. He further informed that out of the 384 cases, 58 patients had a history of foreign travel while 259 people had attended the Markaz event.
New Delhi, Apr 03(ANI): Amidst corona lockdown in the country, RSS came forward to help GB Road sex workers by distributing ration on April 03. RSS Joint General Secretary, Anil Gupta confirmed that a list of 986 sex workers has been made. "We have made a list of 986 sex workers here whom we will distribute ration today. We have brought around 250 kits for distribution today." Delhi RSS, Organizing Secretary, Sukhdev Bhardwaj highlighted the ingredients in a particular kit. He said, "In each kit we have 10kg flour, 5 kg rice, 2 kg pulses, 1 kg sugar, tea leaves, cooking oil, spices and milk powder. We are providing them with food for 10 days and after that if required we will provide them with more."
New Delhi, Apr 03 (ANI): Union Minister Vijay Kumar Singh said that strict action will be taken if anyone misbehaves with doctors. "One should cooperate with doctors. 2 people have recovered in Ghaziabad, the disease requires treatment. But if someone misbehaves, then strict action will be taken," said VK Singh after MMG Hospital staff complaint that Tablighi Jamaat attendees misbehaved with nurses.

According to the member of IYC, hospitals provide food to patients, who are admitted there but don't provide food to the families, who came there with the patients. Considering the need, Indian Youth Congress decided to provide food to the families and the hospital staff members.

They have taken the step to meet shortage of the equipment across the country in the wake of COVID-19. The company will make around 20,000 ventilators to meet the need. Chennai, Apr 03 (ANI): Tamil Nadu Health Minister C Vijayabaskar visited at Chennai's Stanley Medical College on April 03. He also reviewed situation of COVID-19 special ward. New Delhi, Apr 03 (ANI): Equity benchmark indices traded lower during early hours on Friday with investors remaining focused on the possible impact of rising coronavirus infections. At 10:15 am, the BSE S-P Sensex was down by 274 points or 0.97 per cent at 27,991 while the Nifty 50 slipped by 91 points or 1.11 per cent at 8,162. Except for Nifty FMCG and pharma, all sectoral indices at the National Stock Exchange were in the red with Nifty private bank down by 2.9 per cent, metal by 2.8 per cent and auto by 2.5 per cent. Among stocks, private sector lender IndusInd Bank dropped by 5.5 per cent to Rs 323.25 per share. Kotak Mahindra Bank and ICICI Bank too dipped by 4.9 per cent and 3.9 per cent respectively.
