New Delhi, Apr 02 (ANI): Dr JC Passey, Medical Director of LNJPN Hospital, where 188 people coronavirus patients linked with Tablighi Jamaat event in Nizamuddin Markaz are admitted, said that many of the patients are objecting to testing saying they 'don't need admission', and has thus put the security staff at risk. "We've 216 COVID19 patients out of which 188 belong to one group (attendees of Tablighi Jamaat event). We had received reports of 24 patients from the group out of which 23 tested positive. This is alarming," Dr Passey told ANI.

New Delhi, Apr 02 (ANI): Joint Secretary in Union Health Ministry Lav Agarwal on April 2 reacted on reports of Delhi's Hindu Rao Hospital doctors resigning over demand for personal protection equipment. He said that government has placed orders for more than 1.5 crore personal protective equipments (PPEs) and supply has started. "PPEs also been sent to the states, also placed orders for more than 1 Cr N95 masks," he added.

Bengaluru, Apr 02 (ANI): While speaking to ANI in Bengaluru on April 02, the Health and Family Welfare Minister of Karnataka, B Sriramulu said, "We are monitoring 362 people who had attended Nizamuddin Markaz in Delhi. Out of 27 people from Bidar who had attended the event, 11 have tested positive for COVID-19, while results of 16 others are awaited." Jain said, "32 people were tested positive from yesterday (April 01) in Delhi out of which 29 people had attended Tablighi Jamaat event in Nizamuddin. A total of 700 possibly infected and confirmed cases of COVID19 are in different hospitals in Delhi."

Bengaluru, Apr 02 (ANI): A massive fire broke out at a Bamboo Bazaar in Karnataka's Bengaluru on April 02. The fire occurred at around 03:30 am in Shivaji Nagar area of Bengaluru. Another local added, "The officials said that a truck full of wheat flour has come and you can go to Mini Mart to purchase it. But, they refused to sell wheat flour outside and also denied us for the same." "We are standing here from last one hour and they are not giving us wheat flour and told us to come tomorrow, or day after tomorrow," he added.
