State's weather not suitable for survival of coronavirus: Telangana Health Minister on positive case

Hyderabad, March 03 (ANI): Telangana Health Minister Eatela Rajender reacted on state government's actions on the dreadful coronavirus positive case emerging in the state. He said that the Telangana government is working under the guidelines of Central Government. "The virus spreads under low humidity and less temperature but on the contrary, Telangana doesn't have both the weather situation and that is why coronavirus can't survive in the state but still government is taking precautionary measures," said Minister Rajender.

Sleep disorders might now be treated with AI

New Delhi, March 03 (ANI): Artificial intelligence can improve the precision of sleep medicines, resulting in more patient-centered care and better outcomes, suggest a new study. The position statement of the study was published in the journal - Journal of Clinical Sleep Medicine. The position statement was developed by the AASM's Artificial Intelligence in Sleep Medicine Committee. According to the statement, the electrophysiological data collected during polysomnography -- the most comprehensive type of sleep study -- is well-positioned for enhanced analysis through AI and machine-assisted learning. Because of the vast amounts of data collected by sleep centres, AI and machine learning could advance sleep care, resulting in more accurate diagnoses, prediction of disease and treatment prognosis, characterization of disease subtypes, precision in sleep scoring, and optimization and personalization of sleep treatments. COVID-19 symptoms found in tourist who came from Italy: Rajasthan Health Minister

Jodhpur (Rajasthan), Mar 02 (ANI): Rajasthan Health Minister, Raghu Sharma on Monday informed that a passenger, who landed in Jaipur from Italy on February 29, has symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19). He said, "He was admitted to the isolation ward at a hospital after he showed symptoms of COVID-19 in the screening. Earlier, he had tested negative. However, he tested positive in second testing." "He has been put in isolation ward of SMS Hospital. His samples will be sent again for testing since two different results were found in different tests. People who came in his contact till Feb 29 will also be screened for COVID-19," he further added.

Delhi, Telangana report first positive coronavirus cases: Harsh Vardhan

New Delhi, Mar 02 (ANI): Two positive Novel Coronavirus cases have been confirmed from India's Delhi and Telangana on March 02. Both the patients are being closely observed. Addressing at the press conference, Health Minister, Harsh Vardhan confirmed the news. Global deaths due to coronavirus rose above 3000 with new count in China mainland rising to 2912. Meanwhile, Iran confirmed 11 more deaths from coronavirus bringing its death toll to 54. Many countries are closing their borders fearing further transmission of virus.

New Delhi, Mar 02 (ANI): Delhi Police have registered 6 cases in connection with yesterday's (March 01) rumour-mongering incident. "We have registered 6 cases and an investigation is in advanced stage, in connection with yesterday's rumour-mongering incident," said Delhi's Police Commissioner, while addressing the press conference in New Delhi. Delhi police said that situation is peaceful and urged to the citizens of Delhi that whenever they get unconfirmed reports of riots/disturbance, then, they must verify such reports from the Central Police Control room. On the other side, Delhi Police registered more than 300 cases in North-East violence.

Delhi BJP demands investigation over funding of North-East Delhi violence

New Delhi, Mar 02 (ANI): A delegation of BJP MLAs met Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal and handed over a memorandum over Delhi violence. Delhi's BJP demanded an investigation over funding of North-East Delhi violence. Leader of Opposition RS Bidhuri said, "We have demanded that houses in the riot-affected areas be searched to recover illegal weapons that were used in the riots. 2 female Rhinos to be translocated to Manas National Park

Kaziranga (Assam), Mar 02 (ANI): Two female Rhinos to be translocated from Kaziranga National Park to Manas National Park under the Indian Rhino Vision programme. These two Rhinos were captured in Western Range at Bagori. This is a part of India's aim to take one-horn rhino population in the country to 3,000 this year. Manas, which did not have even a single Rhino in last 10 years, will now become home for 43 Rhinos. Assam Forest Minister, Parimal Suklabaidya, said, "Under IRV 2020 agreement, International Rhino Foundation helped us. The Rhino population of Kaziranga is 2, 439. At one point of time, Rhino population of Manas National Park was 0, now it has increased to 43."

New Delhi, Mar 02 (ANI): Informing about the two confirmed coronavirus cases in Delhi and Telangana, Dr Harsh Vardhan also illuminated people about the suspension on existing visas including e-visas for China and Iran. "Under the travel advisory, existing visas including e-visas will remain suspended for China and Iran. As the situation develops, the travel restrictions may be further extended to other countries also. Equities erase early gains as Delhi, Telangana see fresh coronavirus cases

New Delhi, Mar 02 (ANI): The last hour of trading at bourses wiped out all early gains on Monday as the government confirmed two fresh cases of coronavirus in India - one in Delhi and another in Telangana. The BSE S and P Sensex opened at 38,911, saw a high of 39,083 and a low of 37,786 but closed 153 points or 0.4 per cent lower from its previous close at 38,144. The Nifty 50 closed 69 points lower at 11,133. Except for Nifty IT, all sectoral indices at the National Stock Exchange were in the red with Nifty PSU bank plunging by 4.5 per cent, metal by 2.1 per cent FMCG by 0.58 per cent.

Historic City Chowk in Jammu renamed as 'Bharat Mata Chowk'

Jammu (J-K), Mar 02 (ANI): The historic City Chowk here has been renamed as Bharat Mata Chowk by the Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), officials said. JMC's Mayor Chander Mohan Sharma told ANI, "The decision came following the passage of a resolution by the general house of the BJP-led JMC." The starting point of Circular Road has been renamed as 'Atal ji Chowk' in the memory of former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Four months back the resolution demanding to rename City Chowk was moved by senior Deputy Mayor of the JMC, Purnima Sharma. Simultaneously, the resolution was adopted after it was passed by the general house of the JMC. Every year, tricolour is hoisted on Republic Day and Independence Day at the City Chowk.

Delhi violence: Renovation work underway in vandalized school

New Delhi, Mar 02 (ANI): Renovation and clearance of debris are underway at DRP Convent School in Shiv Vihar, the school was vandalized and portions of it were burnt during violence in North-East Delhi area.
