Bharuch (Gujarat), Sep 12 (ANI): Several parts of Gujarat's Bharuch district are facing a flood-like situation as the water-level of river Narmada has swollen due to heavy rainfall. While talking about the situation and rescue operation, Bharuch District Collector MD Modiya informed that around 4,000 people from 23 villages have been rescued. He said, "The river is flowing at 31.85 metres which is much higher than the danger level. Situation is stable. 2 NDRF and 1 SDRF teams are on standby in Bharuch".
Puducherry, Sep 12 (ANI): Puducherry Chief Minister V. Narayanasamy attended one day thematic workshop on 'Vulnerability Atlas of India and Disaster Resistant Design and Construction Program'. The workshop was conducted by Government of Puducherry Town and Country Planning Authority. CM Narayanasamy also held a meeting with Secretary of Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Durga Shanker Mishra on September 11.
Kurnool (Andhra Pradesh), Sep 12 (ANI): In a major boost to the indigenous missile development programme, India on September 11 successfully test-fired the Man Portable Anti Tank Guided Missile (MP-ATGM) from a firing range in Andhra Pradesh's Kurnool. This was the third successful test-firing of the 100 percent indigenous ATGM, which is being developed for the infantry battalions of the Indian Army, who would use them for taking out the enemy tank and other armoured vehicles during war times. Currently, the Indian Army uses the imported Milan 2T and Konkurs Russian anti-tank missile in the infantry but they are vintage missiles and the force is looking for a third-generation ATGM.
New Delhi, Sep 12 (ANI): Facebook is working on a dedicated news tab which will bring authentic information to users from verified sources. Now, it appears, the company is keen on controlling how this news flows to the users. Based on an internal memo acquired by The Information, Facebook is looking at having human editors establishing editorial guidelines, Mashable reports. This essentially means the news fed to the users would be largely censored based on what Facebook wants its users to read. It also appears that both local news outlets and stories with on-the-record sources will be prioritised.

Geneva (Switzerland), Sep 12 (ANI): Chairman of Brussels based think tank 'Vocal Europe', Henri Molosse supported abrogation of Article 370 and it will facilitate links between Kashmir and rest of India. Molosse said, "Abrogation of Article 370 is an internal matter of India. When you see what happened in Kashmir in last few years and recent terrorist attack which killed 40 Indian military officers, you see India continues to be under threat. This decision will improve security in this region. It is a good solution and with this decision there will be no major incident in Kashmir. We hope that after new mechanism, new election will be organised soon and it will facilitate links between Kashmir and rest of India."

VO: Baloch Human Rights Council Secretary-General Samad Baloch on September 11 slammed Pakistan by saying that it is breeding several terrorist groups and sending them across the borders of the world. He also asserted that Pak is looting the natural resources of Balochistan. New Delhi, 11 Sep, (ANI): Delhi Police have arrested four criminals who had conspired to commit major burglary in the premises of "Manappuram Finance Ltd" by digging a manhole in the wall to commit the crime.Regular verification drives are conducted in the north-west district in areas occupied by tenants and resettlement colonies to keep a check on anti-social elements. During one such exercise in Shalimar Bagh area, the local police received information from sources about suspicious activities by people who had recently moved into the area. The alert police team investigated the information discreetly and successfully arrested four criminals who possessed gas cutter, cylinder, tools, and one country-made pistol. The criminals had conspired to commit major burglary in the premises of the gold finance company and had created a manhole in the wall to get access to the building.
Barmer (Rajasthan), Sep 11 (ANI): A suspicious teenager was apprehended from border area of Rajasthan's Barmer by Border Security Force (BSF). He was carrying Pakistani rupees. BSF official claim that man has entered India by crossing border illegally. A joint interrogation will be held by security intelligence. ASP Barmer, Khiv Singh Bhati said, "BSF has handed over a teenager at Gadra Road Police Station. His name is said to be Bhag Chand. He is 16-17 year old. BSP officers informed that they have apprehended him as he crossed border. Security intelligence will hold a joint interrogation. All the facts will be clear only after the interrogation."
New Delhi, Sep 11 (ANI): A police constable was attacked by a liquor smuggler and two others in Delhi. The other two accused were identified by Police as liquor smuggler's mother and sister. The incident took place in Delhi's Rohini area. FIR has been registered. All the three accused have been arrested.

Poonch (JandK), Sep 11 (ANI): The traffic police team in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch educated and made commuters aware about new Motor Vehicles (Amendment) Act 2019. The traffic police fined the commuters as well as made them aware about the new traffic rules. The people also supported move of traffic police and assure them to follow the traffic rules. Amendments to the Motor Vehicle Act were passed by the Parliament recently and came into effect from September 01. The transport ministry issued a notification on August 28, listing out all the laws that have come into effect from September 01.
Hyderabad, Sep 11 (ANI): Accusing the ruling YSR Congress Party of attacking BJP workers in Andhra Pardesh's Palnadu, Lanka Dinakar on Wednesday said that the Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy must take strict action against his party workers for carrying out such attacks in the region. Onam is one of the most important religious events for Malayali Hindus spread across various parts of India.
