New Delhi, Sep 07 (ANI): Former scientist of DRDO (Defence Research and Development Organisation), Ravi Gupta said that chandrayaan-2 mission as a whole is not a disaster but grand success. "It will take time to collect and analyse data to determine what has happened. Scientists of our country are putting efforts to solve the people's problem and to make their life better. They are not working for money as they can get better jobs and money abroad," he further added.

Bangladesh makes hat-trick as it lifts Subroto Cup U-17 Girls

New Delhi, Sep 07 (ANI): Subroto Cup International Football Tournament of U-17 Girls concluded at Ambedkar Stadium in Delhi on September 06. Subroto Cup is Asia's largest youth football meet. The tournament saw participation of 112 teams, including 16 international teams. Bangladesh Krida Shiksha Prothishtan (BKSP) thrashed Nilmani English School, Manipur, 4-0 in the final of the Diamond jubilee edition of Subroto Cup (under-17 girls). The tournament is organised by the Subroto Mukerjee Sports Education Society under the aegis of Air Force Sports Control Board and is supported by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Ministry of Human Resource Development and the Sports Authority of India.

Chandrayaan-2: Communication lost with Vikram Lander at 2.1 km from lunar surface

Bengaluru, Sep 07 (ANI): Communication was lost with Vikram Lander at 2.1 km from lunar surface, data is being analysed. ISRO Chief K Sivan has briefed Prime Minister Narendra Modi about the status of landing of Vikram Lander on the Southern Pole of the moon. PM Modi lauded scientists' efforts and motivated them. The Vikram Lander was scheduled to land on the moon's surface at 01:53 am.

Chandrayaan-2 setback: Indians hopeful of getting positive news

Chandrayaan-2: 'Data being analysed', says ISRO Chief after losing communication with Vikram Lander

Bengaluru, Sep 07 (ANI): After ISRO lost its communication with Vikram Lander, ISRO Chief K Sivan announced the news and said that the data is being analysed. He said, "Vikram Lander descent was as planned and normal performance was observed up to an altitude of 2.1 km. Subsequently, communication from Lander to the ground stations was lost. Data is being analysed." The communication was lost with Vikram Lander at 2.1 km before it planned landing on the southern part lunar surface.

Cadets of Indian Army display equestrian, gymnastics, gatka ahead of passing out parade

Chennai, Sep 07 (ANI): A day ahead of passing out parade at Army Officers Training Academy in Chennai, the cadets, their trainers and teams from the Indian Army showcased equestrian, para-motor, gymnastics and gatka on September 06. Lieutenant General Sanjeev Kanal was chief guest of the event. The show started with equestrian display performed by the cadets and was followed by a gymnastics display. The team of Para Regiment Training Centre, Bengaluru presented the motor show. Later, Gatka martial art was also performed at the event.

The number of allergic diseases increases the risk of adult-onset asthma especially in individuals born after 1940, according to a study published in the 'Allergy' journal. Approximately one in ten Finns suffer from asthma. It is one of the most common chronic illnesses in Western countries. Allergy is a risk factor in childhood asthma but its significance to adult-onset asthma is not precisely known.
