New Delhi, Sep 05 (ANI): On the occasion of Teachers' Day, Vice President of India M Venkaiah Naidu interacted with students in Delhi. He met and greeted the students as well. While addressing them, Naidu said, "Ours is a country that has given a central place to teachers, we call them Gurus, the Sanskrit word that connotes the source of illumination. We are the inheritors of the system of Gurukuls. A system in which the teachers and the students lived together and pursued studies in a caring environment." Teacher's Day in India is celebrated in the memory of Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan whose birth anniversary falls on September 5. Dr Radhakrishnan was a renowned academic and served as the President of India from 1962 to 1967.
Gurdaspur (Punjab), Sep 05 (ANI): Families of the victims of Batala firecracker factory blast protested against the Punjab Government on September 5. Death toll in factory blast in Punjab's Gurdaspur rose to 23 while approximately 20 people were injured in the incident. PM Modi also expressed condolences to the families of those who lost their lives. He said, "The tragedy at a firecracker factory in Punjab is heart-wrenching. Deeply anguished due to it. My condolences to families of those who lost their lives. I hope the injured recover at the earliest. Agencies are working on rescue operations at the site of tragedy."

Mumbai, Sep 05 (ANI): A 6-year-old child died after he fell into an open drain in Maharashtra's Nalasopara. The incident took place on September 4 evening, while he was playing with his 3-year-old sister outside the Banarasi hotel. After search operation, child's body was found in Krishna Sagar society area.
Indore (MP), Sep 05 (ANI): A fire broke out at a residential area in Madhya Pradesh's Indore. Four people sustained burn injuries due to fire. Many vehicles also burnt off. Police rescued many people from fire. The reason behind the fire break out is said to be short circuit. Additional Superintendent of Police, Anil Patidar said, "We have rescued many people while 4 people received injuries. The reason behind the break out of fire is short circuit. There are many vehicles that are burnt off."

New Delhi, Sep 05 (ANI): Japan's Ambassador to India Kenji Hiramatsu on Wednesday hosted 'an evening with Japanese Sake 2019' to promote the symbolic beverage among the Indian public. The Embassy of Japan in India is working to raise awareness of Japanese food and sake (rice wine) in India. This is the third edition of the event, following the previous ones held in 2017 and 2018.After Hiramatsu's opening remarks and speeches by Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar of Udaipur and Miss Sake 2019, Sae Haruta, the sake-tasting session followed. A business meeting and a lecture on sake were also held which was attended by sake brewers and Indian buyers and importers. At this event, in addition to Japanese cuisine, a collaboration between Indian cuisine and Japanese sake was proposed. The Indian guests enjoyed tasting an assortment of sake, such as sparkling, ume-shu (plum sake), ko-chu (aged sake) and ginjo that was served along with a variety of cuisine.
Kolkata (West Bengal), Sep 05 (ANI): A video of Jashika Khan, 11-year-old and Mohammad Azajuddin, 12-year-old from Kolkata went viral after they performed gymnastics while carrying their schoolbags on the streets. In the TikTok video which has been viewed over 5 lakh times on Twitter, the two kids could be seen performing somersaults and cartwheels with apparent ease. The video was applauded by five-time Olympic gold medalist gymnast Nadia Comaneci. While speaking to ANI, Jashika Khan said, "I felt great joy when I came to know about it, I told my parents too and they were very happy. I have been doing it for four years." Mohammad Azajuddin said, "I want to do something to make my dance teacher proud. If I get a chance to do gymnastics in future, I will take it but I will never stop dancing."

Chittoor (Andhra Pradesh), Sep 05 (ANI): As the country is dipped in the festivity mood, artists round the country are showcasing their talents by coming up with different ideas of making eco-friendly idols of Lord Ganesha. A 30-feet-tall idol of Lord Ganesha has been made with 2 lakh bangles in Thummalagunta village of Andhra Pradesh's Chittoor. After the festival, the idol won't be immersed, instead the bangles will be distributed among women in the neighbourhood as 'prasad'. The step has been taken to avoid water pollution.

He said, "I was charged for several things like fitness, permit, driving license." Male (Maldives), Sep 05 (ANI): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national general secretary Ram Madhav attended Indian Ocean Conference in Maldives's Male. After attending the conference, he talked about challenges and problem related to ISIS terror group that West Asia is dealing with. He said, "ISIS terror group which was hitherto challenge and a problem in West Asia, has slowly started expanding its tentacles into the Indian Ocean region. Certain countries have already become target of its terror activities". While talking about India and the terror organisation, he said that India doesn't provide space for any such organisation. New Delhi, Sep 05 (ANI): Physical inactivity, smoking, high blood pressure, diabetes, and high cholesterol play a greater role than genetics in many young patients with heart diseases, suggests a new study. The research presented at 'ESC Congress 2019' showed that healthy behaviours should be a top priority for reducing heart disease even in those with a family history of early-onset. The study enrolled 1,075 patients under 50, of whom 555 had coronary artery disease (known as premature CAD). Specific conditions included stable angina, heart attack, and unstable angina. Five modifiable risk factors were assessed: physical inactivity, smoking, high blood pressure, diabetes, and high cholesterol. Nearly three-quarters (73 per cent) of patients had at least three of these risk factors compared to 31 per cent of controls. In both groups, the likelihood of developing CAD increased exponentially with each additional risk factor. The probability of CAD was 3, 7, and 24 times higher with 1, 2,
Darbhanga (Bihar), Sep 05 (ANI): Massive fire engulfed S6 coach of Bihar Sampark Kranti Superfast Express. The train runs between Darbhanga and New Delhi. Fire has been doused. No casualties have been reported. Prima facie cause of fire appears to be miscreant activity. A probe at Joint-Secretary level has been ordered to ascertain the cause of fire.
