Osaka (Japan), Jun 27 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi met Prime Minister of Japan Shinzo Abe on the sidelines of the G20 Summit in Japan's Osaka on Thursday. Foreign Secretary Vijay Gokhale spoke on the meeting. Gokhale said, "It was a very warm meeting, both leaders are old friends. They had a very constructive and detailed discussion on the bilateral relationship. PM Abe referred specifically to PM Modi's initiative in earlier G20 meetings on the issue of fugitive economic offenders and he said that G20 should deal with this problem as part of its anti-corruption measures. Birgunj (Nepal), June 26 (ANI): Marking a milestone, Nepal and India finish petroleum pipeline work and it is likely to become operational next month. The pipeline connects Motihari (India) with Amlekhganj (Nepal) covering a distance of 70.2 Kilometers which had been of utmost priority for both the nations. According to Nepal Oil Corporation, the tests are being done in coordination with Indian Oil Corporation, its sole supplier of fuel. Indian Oil Corporation was the major monetary contributor in building the pipeline which costs Rs4.4 billion approximately. The agreement to lay the pipeline was struck between Nepal and India on August 24, 2015. It will also strengthen the relationship between the two neighbouring nations.

Birmingham, United Kingdom, June 24, 2019: - A number of Kashmiri political activists and leaders from across Europe and the United Kingdom recently gathered in Birmingham for the 'International Kashmir conference on Peace, Human Rights and Counter Terrorism.' The discussions in the conference primarily focused at the appalling living standards of locals in the illegally occupied regions of PoK and Gilgit-Baltistan and deliberations were made to find an immediate solution to the prevailing crisis. The talks also highlighted the suppressive designs of Pakistan that were aimed at further subjugating the locals while plundering their resources with impunity. Activists highlighted that the territory of PoK was being exploited by Pakistan through its multi-pronged designs. While on one side, it was regularly plundering Kashmir's natural resources; on other, it was using the land to carry out its terror activities.
New Delhi, June 24 (ANI): Former Pakistan Finance Minister Abdul Sattar passed away on Sunday. He was 88."We are deeply saddened to announce that former foreign minister Abdul Sattar has passed away. He was an illustrious diplomat and an accomplished author," Pakistan's foreign office said in a statement. Sattar served as the Foreign minister under then-president Pervez Musharraf government from 1999 to 2002. He was the part of Mussaraf delegation who visited India for the historic Agra Summit in 2001. Sattar also served as the foreign secretary from 1986-88."We offer our profound condolences to the bereaved family and pray for the departed soul," the statement added.
